Naomi's POV
My thoughts were haunted by tonight's events as I struggled to fall asleep.
My mind racing over everything over and over, analysing everything. What is happening? Why is everyone acting so weird? I don't understand...
As I finally begin drifting off to sleep I take one last glance at the time on my phone [1:22 AM]
I'm gonna be... Tired... tomorrow...
I yawn.{6 weeks later}
*Tensions were high for the rest of my visit home. Me and my father started arguing more than we ever have before but no matter how many times I protested I was still in the dark with what happened my first night back and for some reason, it seemed like he was deliberately trying to push me away.Things had become really toxic between me and father, so bad in fact that at the moment I'm not speaking with him, I ignore him every chance I get and I occasionally glare at him.
I wasn't about to just let everything go, he was keeping something from me and I was determined to know what. Was I in danger? It sounded like we all were from what I'd heard him and mum arguing about in his office*
I awake to the sunlight hitting my face and shining in my eyes. I reluctantly open my eyes raising my hand to block the sun from my vision.
I slowly sit up.
Only two more days till summer break is over and I can return to my studies and get away from this hell hole...
I'll miss everyone though... Everyone except that lying excuse for a father.I swing my legs around to the side of the bed to stand.
Mum had gone shopping with Evie and my two brothers were out on the far side of the property fixing up fences so the horses don't escape. Although my parents are quite wealthy they always believed in teaching us good morals and part of that was teaching us that nothing comes from standing around and letting others do your work for you, hence teaching us the value of hard work.I walk over to my closet to pick out an outfit for the day, something practical since we weren't going anywhere to my knowledge. Simple black ripped jeans and a grey sweater.
(See picture above)
I apply my usual makeup and I go to walk downstairs just as I hear a car pull up in the driveway.I didn't know that we were going to have guests...
I question wondering who it could be. I decide to investigate, walking down to the bottom of the stairs I am met by the hazel eyes of Rhys's colleague from the dinner from hell first night back.WHAT IS HE DOING HERE!?!?!?! My eyes widen in horror?
After a moment I notice another two tall kind of buff men standing next to him.One of the men has olive skin, blond hair and striking green eyes that seem like they are piercing through my soul.
The second one has slightly darker olive skin, light brown hair that's styled upwards in a fairly modern look and amber eyes.
