The morning used to always be the same. Wake up, eat, get ready, brush teeth, brush hair, and leave. There was never time to pause. Stop and smell the roses if you will, but there just wasn't any time for that. Today just seemed, different?

Ah right, a free day.

He'd only have those every one and a while.

Yoongi woke up with a smile, actually happy for once as he got ready. Instead of instant noodles for a first meal, he got up early enough to make himself a decent breakfast.

He even had time to learn a fragment of the song that was printed in his brain on the piano. Just off of memory.

Yoongi had walked to the park, humming the new tune, he only smiled. The small devices in his ears as he walked. He looked over to see a sleepy Jimin on the swing next to his designated spot, looking down sleeping.

Yoongi's hand finally had more confidence than his mind and ruffled Jimin's hair, soundlessly querying Jimin if he was tired.

Jimin looked up to Yoongi after his hand was placed back to his side. Jimin rubbed his eyes.

"Ah I must've fallen asleep out here..." Jimin mumbled and stretched when Yoongi sat on the swing next to him, once again kicking and dragging rubber as he rested his head on the chain.

"It was cold Jimin. You could've gotten sick. Then I would have to take care of you." Yoongi had a faint smile even thinking about it but quickly hid it. He hid the smile cause he knew why Jimin had fallen asleep outside.

"That wouldn't be an issue, now would it." Jimin chuckled and adjusted, the seat making a sound as Yoongi looked up to meet eyes with Jimin's.

"Did you water the roses?". "Do you wanna help me water the roses?"

The two both broke the silence, asking their questions at the same time. It made Yoongi chuckle a little.

"I wouldn't mind helping you." Yoongi fully processed that, yes, he was off today.

Jimin's sweet smile grew as he stood, offering a hand. Yoongi looked at it. His mind and body not agreeing with each other but Yoongi grasped onto that spinning wheel in his brain and took control. Yoongi gently placed his hand into Jimin's, Yoongi having to actually hold their hands since Jimin's were small.

"God my hands look so much smaller now.." Jimin mumbled with a giggle, bringing Yoongi to the familiar rose bush.

Yoongi paused when Jimin let go to go inside, only opening the door and reaching over to grab the watering pot.

"There's two rose bushes. There's one in the front and one in the back. So, you water the front and I'll water the back. Okay?"

Yoongi gave a small nod when he was handed another watering pot.

"Only two inches of water a week which is 4 to 5 gallons..." Jimin mumbled to himself. Almost like he was doing math aloud.

Yoongi smiled over at the now daydreaming Jimin who was looking at the rose bush. Yoongi patted Jimin's back, making Jimin come back to reality.

"Ah! Right! Watering the roses." Jimin chuckled and walked inside to go to the back, leaving Yoongi to water the crimson tide in front of him.

He gently lifted the container and water the roses, not a lot of water but just enough. A smile on his face as Jimin came back out just as he finished.

Jimin was staring at Yoongi. Not in a weird or a violent way, but almost lovingly. Yoongi's heart was racing against his chest, very tempted to put his hand on his chest to slow it down but didn't as Jimin got close.

"You have something in your hair, umm... do you want me to get it out?" Jimin giggled softly as his voice almost sang the words, reaching and pulling off a small fluff out of his hair when Yoongi gave a small nod.

It was spring and all the fuzzies would get caught in his hair sometimes. Almost like a magnet to metal. Yoongi's face was red from how close Jimin was, almost little to no space between them.

"Aw, you're blushing like a rose." Jimin teased the older boy and stuck out his tongue slightly.

"I- what. I am not!" Yoongi looked away and cleared his throat, taking a step back getting off the side walk onto the road unknowingly.

Yoongi hadn't realized that a car was trying to zoom by when he took his step back, Jimin quickly wrapped his arm around the other boy's waist and pulled him back up and close.

"My my. You're older than me and I feel like the big kid here." Jimin teased Yoongi about his behavior.

Yoongi's face was as red as possible, his eyes slightly widened. He didn't want to be let go but it had to happen eventually.

Yoongi thanked Jimin quietly and stood on his own. Jimin backed up instead of Yoongi to prevent another event like the previous.

"What are your plans for today?" Jimin asked, hands stuffed into his jean pockets.

"Why?" Yoongi brushed himself off, not meaning to sound rude as he looked down. He was attempting to get the fuzzies off his black sweater.

"Because. I uh." Jimin took in a deep breath. "I kinda wanna hang out today. Y'know. I'm always in the house and I don't really have a reason to leave." Jimin spoke softly as he took a fuzzy off of Yoongi's sweater, their hands touching for a brief second but Yoongi swore that in the millisecond he saw fireworks.

"Mm. Yeah."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah as in, Yeah we can hang out today." Yoongi smiled as Jimin glowed up with happiness.

"I uh. Need to get dressed then. So I will..." Jimin looked around before looking to Yoongi's pockets and snatching the other's phone out.

"I- hey!"

"I'll give you my number 'k. I'll text you when I'm done getting ready."

Yoongi rolled his eyes in a playful manner and shook his head. Jimin handed back the phone. Jimin gave Yoongi a very soft smile before he said his farewells for now and walked inside.

Yoongi decided to walk back home, staring at the screen. He kicked a few pebbles out of the way to prevent tripping. He looked at the contact name.

🌹Minnie🌹

Yoongi raised an eyebrow with a satisfied smile. "He's so weird.."

Yoongi took another step away from his boundaries. Day by day. Hour by hour. Every second he was with him, he'd be straying further and further.
