Blackness. That's all Cragger could see. The pit of darkness flown through his empty mind. What the hell happen? He couldn't bring anything to his head on where he's at. His skull pounding him hard with agony, the black of hell was escaping him. A white light hurt his eyes. He heard the rumble of tanks, and explosions. Cragger lifts his head, a groan of shock run through his body. He notice he was on the ground. His mine couldn't register what all happen.

He looks down, only to have a solid brick hit his stomach. What the eyes say, Laval was under him, grunting for air. Cragger remembered what has happen. War. Him and Laval were fighting. For CHI, for destruction. Since his parents had fallen in the Gorge of Eternal Depth, he causes riots and tore apart all the tribes. The Wolves, Crocodiles Vs. the Lions. No! Cragger could feel his heart sink deep into his stomach. He slightly stood up on one knee. "Laval?" He whispered. The lion didn't move. He was breathing lightly though, his chest slowly rising.

Crap!Crap! The fact that his friend could be dead, made his head fuzzy. "Laval, stop messing around! Get up!" He gave a nudge. "Laval!" Cragger shook his body, trying to wake the prince up. He waited a minute and tried again. Laval wouldn't budge one bit. Finally, after a few minutes, the red mane lion awoke. His light amber eyes stared at the Crocodile. "Cragger." His voice was weak, but sounded relieved to see his best friend alive.

"Laval, you're alive!" Cragger cried. Laval's eyes were very dull, as if no life was in them. A loud cough escaped his throat, as he looks at Cragger. "I don't have much time." The light in Cragger's heart fades. "W-What are you talking about?" He asked with worry. Laval's shaking body lay still on the hard ground. Cragger went on. "And why did you break my fall like that? You could of really hurt yourself!" Laval grabbed Cragger's arm, trying to lean up but, he was too weak. His shaking arm make Cragger grip Laval's arm as well.

"I did." His voice crack. "But, it was worth it to save.." Laval took a deep breathe. "My old friend.." He manage to smile. The warm smile Cragger always remembered as a hatchling. The smile that told him everything was ok. Unfortunately, that smile ended with coughing and Laval groaning in pain. He turn his head to the side, trying to breathe. Cragger wailed at his friend. "Laval! Stay with me!" He nudge his friend but, didn't budge again. "I-I messed up but, we c-can fix it!" He cried. Tears in his eyes, trying not to let them fall.

Laval glanced at his friend. He takes a big breath in, and stares at Cragger. "Take care of Chima for me...old friend." The Chi in Laval was fading. Going in and out, Cragger knew he was dying. Cragger hold his arm, not wanting to let go. Not now! Please! Laval raised his head. "And remember..." He gags and closes his eyes. "There's always hope..." Laval sigh. His body goes limp. Cragger felt his heart stop, his tears fall. His friend. Best friend, just died. It's my fault. Tears dropping onto his dead friend. All mine. "Laval.." He whimpers. Slightly shaking his body, nothing happen.

Everyone will hate me. Cragger hold Laval's arm still, mourning in loss. I shouldn't have taken control to be King. The voices grew louder. I shouldn't have caused a war. Cragger turn around to hear footsteps stomping his way. No! He stumbled to his feet, even though they still ache. He ran and slide behind a sharp rock. He glanced at many figures. Once the dust cleared up, Cragger felt his brain scream bloody murder. It was Lagravis. The King stopped, staring blankly at his dead son. The other lions stood in shock and confusion. The King dropped his sword. "No.." He whispered. The entire area was silent. The only sound heard was the sword hitting the dirt. "No!" Lagravis ran to Laval. Cragger lean back, staying hidden. He could feel the agony, the loss. The image of his parents falling in the Gorge of Eternal Depth, still glued into his eyes.

I'm sorry... A sob escaped his throat. "No!" Lagravis yelled. Holding his dead son, hoping the young lion would wake... never happen. No pulse. Nothing. "Laval!" The Lion King cried out loud. The cry tugged Cragger's heart, making his legs wobbly to stand. He notice the broken crown from Laval. He picks the pieces up and looks near the bridge. For Laval! Before he left, Cragger glanced at the lions. Two guards hold Laval's limp body. Caring away, a heart broken Lagravis stood there, crying. I'm sorry... I'll make this up for you...

Cragger snuck around the lion wall. Remembering the vines hanging down, Cragger climbed up, keeping his eye on the vine. Climbing up, he could already know that the news was spreading. The words echoed through his head. There's always hope. Cragger couldn't grip it. When was there hope? None! Hope was taken away since his parent's death. Nothing good ever happen. "I can fix it... I can..." Losing breath, Cragger manage to climb to the top. On the opposite of the bridge, there was no guards. They'll kill me still. Cragger image Eris. Even her. Cragger hopped down and bolted towards the temple, his legs weakening with every push. The young crocodile continued. He reached near the CHI pool, only to see... there was no CHI. No CHI? Insane! Cragger stared for a good second, only to head straight towards Laval's room. With every step, every breathe leaving his body, he could feel the world closing in on him. Stay alive... Holding his emotions back. I lost my parents, I don't wanna lose you! Cragger then stopped. There it was. The room. The room in which his world and soul stood at its peak. Would his friend be alive? Would he be dead? Or, would the darkest pit of hell, call his name?

Cragger slowly walked in, with shaking hands and a beating heart, ready to explode in any second. He turn towards the bed. You fool! Cragger gasphed with a cry of distress. Laying under the sheets... showed a body of his dead friend. "N-No... It can't be..." His voice whimpering in grief. "Laval?" His hand reaches out, to feel coldness in his blood again. The image of his parents stabbed him harder than before. Cragger dropped to his knees. I did this... now he's dead...
