Maddy and Kat were tipsy and walking on the road, their mindset not in the right state to be going on this type of adventure but they continued, not being able to make decisions for themselves. They continued walking until they saw the long and rusted barbed wire fence, Maddy had heard from people at school that there was an area of the fence that was cut open and hadn't been repaired for a while which was going to be there entry point. The woods were dark and you could barely see through the shrub and white misty fog inside, even that sight wasn't enough to scare the two girls away.

"Over here! Quick" Maddy giggled and in response Kat laughed quietly and tipsily ran over with her to the fence that looked like it had been violently torn or cut open. Maddy squat down and carefully squeezed her thin body through, the wire tugging on her clothes almost ripping her shirt in a few places. She got through safe and sound but Kat on the other hand had cut her arm a tad on the wire, but that didn't bother her, ignoring the light blood that seeped out.

"Where to now?" Kat whispered with a soft hiccup, looking around and squinting her eyes to see through the fog surrounding them and the trees.

Maddy tugged her hand and lead her to a path not that far from where they entered.

"We'll follow this" Maddy took being the leader and Kat obliged, it seemed obviously plausible for them to follow a simple and easy path, thinking it would lead them straight to their destination, the mansion.

Tara had returned home and her parents were wondering why she left Maddy's house so late, she didn't give much of an explanation and went upstairs to her room with the disappointment in herself that she let her best friends go and the disappointment they actually went. Tara stayed in her room dwelling on what had happened and if her friends were okay, she then begun to contemplate on going in there and getting them out herself, she was a wimp but she was also brave and would do anything for those girls. She got up with a huff and put on her runners and a hoodie, grabbing a torch and her phone. She left through her window, climbing down quietly and safely as her parents wouldn't allow her to leave so late again and she then also heads for the fence to save them, knowing they'd get themselves into trouble.

Maddy and Kat had been following the trail for what seemed like ages, feeling like they were only going around in circles but at the same time getting deeper and deeper into the woods.

"We've been walking for ages!" Kat whined loudly, birds flying all around them from above, big, feathery black birds from what they could tell.

"I know... I'm sure we're almost there" Maddy reassured, not feeling as drunk as she did before, being a heavy drinker herself she was able to take a lot of drinks, or maybe it was the cold air that woke her up, or maybe she was actually frightened of something.

The girls continued to walk, their feet dragging along, Maddy feeling like she was carrying around a child in the supermarket. Just as they felt like they were actually getting somewhere they were still just walking and walking until Kat let go of her hand and sat down on a large rock beside the path, Maddy stopped and stared at her.

"What are you doing?" She asked Kat confused, wanting to get to this mansion already.

"Resting." Kat responded tiredly and with dark eyes. Maddy nodded and stood with her for a bit until she could feel as if something was watching her, the feeling that makes you look around and something that would make your spine tingle. She looked around for a few seconds, trying to identify what was watching them but she couldn't see anything within the darkness, in case she was wrong she didn't alarm Kat.

"Alright, get up. Let's go" Maddy demanded and lifts Kat up by her arm, in which she huffed and stood up.

"Also you're bleeding" Maddy looked at her arm, the wound had dried blood around it and it looked sore and irritated.

"Huh...oh" Kat looked at her arm "its fine" she sighed and walked in front of Maddy.

They stood close beside each other and they soon enough began to notice the trees were getting more clear and thin, feeling like they were in a more thin part of the woods, perhaps the mansion was a lot closer now, they had also begun to see a bit more light and the fog felt a little humid and warm, making them feel invited, but maybe that's how these woods lured in innocents.

They turned a slight corner and almost like a door they saw it, the crippled old mansion they desperately sought to see.

"Told you!" Maddy exclaimed and they both ran towards it, not seeing anyone or anything dangerous and so they thought it would be safe, but everything dangerous were already surrounding them.
