|I can't stop writing this, oops.|
After a few extra classes mainly on strategic plans and math, we finally had a break for lunch. It was kind of a bustle to get to the cafeteria, but I finally made it and quietly waited in line with my earbuds jammed in my ears and went about getting my food.
After I got out of the horrid crowd of students I discovered my next delema. I knew sitting with the girls would annoy me, and if I sat with the guys I'd probably get into an argument. But my prayers were answered when I came across a nearly empty table, quickly veering away from the boys area.
Thankfully there were only five people who I didn't know sitting there. They seemed to get my plan and didn't interact with me, allowing me to shovel rice into my mouth while scrolling through music once again.
When I was almost done I felt a weight in the seat next to me. Why did these girls have to be so insistent? I huffed and yanked my earbuds out my head while turning towards the person next to me. Only to be met with a purple gaze.
"Oh hey! Hitoshi, right?" I smiled at him, pleasantly surprised at the presence of him.
"Yeah, hey Hattari. You alright with me sitting here? You said we should talk so I took this as an opportunity to," He talked to me in his usual monotone voice
"Oh yeah no problem, I'm actually glad it's you. And- if you're alright with it, I'd be more comfortable if you just called me Nyoko," I looked away from him to take another bite of my food.
"Yeah sure, you can call me Shinso if you want to as well. I don't care either way though," I nodded at him, "Oh, you said you were glad it was me, who were you expecting?" Oh he caught that little statement.
"Uh yeah, I thought you either Bakugou trying to pick a fight again or the annoying little girls in my class," I grumbled out while rolling my eyes. To others I probably seem like a bitch, but I just don't like to be bothered.
"Wow, I can relate actually. I don't really want to talk to anyone, but you seem chill and like you actually enjoy my company unlike most." He poked at the food in front of him.
"Why wouldn't people want to talk with you, you basically are the living embodiment of chill," I blurted out without thinking. It sounded like I knew him for months to the unknowing ear and I knew I fucked up.
"Ha thanks. People tend to be afraid of me due to my quirk," He seemed unfazed by my remark and I sighed in relief.
"Now I'm the one who can relate, but people are more grossed out than anything."
"Oh? What's your quirk?" He raised an eyebrow, suddenly really intrigued.
"Basically I can throw up the contents of my stomach and make them turn into fire, hot rocks, or magma. But it's not always a pretty picture. I do have another aspect of my quirk that I use for first impressions." I didn't make eye contact but I felt his eyes digging into the side of my face.
"C- can I see?" He leaned closer to me. I absolutely was not prepared for this and shot my eyes towards him.
"For real?," He nodded his head, "I'll only do a bit since we're inside though."
I didn't know if I even do 'a bit' yet, but I flexed my stomach and felt heat rising up to my throat, I opened my mouth slightly and leaned over my lunch tray. To my surprise, a very small stream of magma dripped from my lips and landed on the empty lunch tray in front of me.
I smiled up at him and wiped my lip, his eyes were still focuses on the tray though. I looked down again to see that my magma had in fact been burning a hole through the tray.
