Dad, Is That You?

This occurence was a frequent when I was alone at home around August this year(2018). My mum was visiting my grandad in Australia so it was just me and my father at home. Dad would just drive all night and sleep during the day so I rarely got to meet him some days.

On this particular night, at around 11:30, I was not very sleepy so I was watching movies in my room when I heard dad calling me to open the back door, like he usually does. It seemed a bit odd to me that he was back so early but I dismissed it thinking he was probably taking a break tonight.

Our kitchen window gives us a good view of our back door and the porch so I decided to check first like I always do. However, upon checking, dad was not there at all. Shrugging it off as my imagination, I returned to the movie. Suddenly, the TV turned off. I sat frozen in shock because my TV simply lost all source of power.

And by that I mean, that the plug was removed and set beside the TV. Now it is not easy to unplug my TV because the pin is a bit bent so it grips tighter into the sockets because we have to force it in. Of course I only saw this after I gathered the courage to get up and see for myself.

Anyway, I setup the TV again and sat watching it, feeling a bit creeped out but I tried to stay calm. 5 minutes later, I hear dad calling me again. This time louder so I decided to text dad and ask him where he was. He replied instantly that he was at the taxi base. I felt a chill run down my spine as something that sounded like dad continued to call me. Ten minutes later it all went quiet.

I had a feeling of another presence with me in the room as it got super cold. The TV once again went off so I left it like that and covered myself with my blanket. I don't know when I got tired and fell asleep eventually.
