The Only Girl In Semper Fi

Walking through the halls in the Marine Training Camp in North Carolina. I was being given strange looks by the male personel, i guess that is because i am the only Female in Semper Fi. I smirked and went over to my cousin Joey, he was in the army, but he was here to help me settle in, and warn all the male about me yada yada. It gets old!

I groaned as I laid eyes on the door of the male barracks it was pink ! It had my full name printed in black bold letters, Joey took my hand as I pushed the door open with my boot. I looked around to see a single twin bed, a desk, and the walls were a deep green, the bed sheets were a khaki color and the desk was a mahogany red color. I chunked my bag into the corner and smiled at Joey.

"being the only girl has its perks huh?" he joked with me and I punched his shoulder.

"Sargent ayers?" a low voice grumbled. Joey and I flipped around and answer simultaneously.

"yes?" the guy looked taken aback.

"there's a female one too? Joe is she your sister or something?" the gorgeous voiced male said. Joey bursted out laughing and I stood carefully eyeing up the soldier. He had short black hair, striking green eyes and black tattoo sleeves, he looked delicious! Shut up Abby! He's a higher rank then you not to mention probably married! I heard snapping and my name being called. I looked up at Joey. I cocked an eyebrow and jumped on him wrapping my legs around him like a one year old being carried by an adult. Mr. Gorgeous stared at me in shock.

"hey I'm Abby. This weirdos cousin." I said as I jabbed joes chest, he dropped me and I landed on my ass glaring at joe.

"RUDE MUCH?!" I all but yelled at him and tackled him puttin him in a arm bar laughing at my leprechaun of a cousin. He groaned and mr. Gorgeous pulled me off joe restraining me. I pulled away an helped Joey up and started to unpack my bags putting my underwear in the top drawer in my trunk and all of my cammies in the bottom and my khaki shirts with my dress blues in the closet to hang up. I heard my bedroom door shut and I turned around to see no one around and I smiled taking my ipod and my ipod dock out setting it up and I began singing "travelin soldier" by the dixie chicks. I pulled out a picture of me and my best friends, chris and marc. I set it by my bed and I pulled the photo of me and my two brothers out billy and james. god why did billy have to die like that? six months ago my brother was run over by a tank.

I was taken out of my day dream as I heard  a knock on my door I threw my cammies on and opened the door. only to see mr. gorgeous and an even more gorgeously handsome face. I nodded In respect and let them into my barracks. I shut the door and mr.gorgeous stood at attention by the door and I stood expectantly at staff sargent Ryker.

"as you know your the only female in the marines, and I have to be honest with you and tell you that you can always count on me or sargent Daniels.  by the way sargent daniels is the one by the door." Ryker told me and I nodded.  Ryker went towards the door but stopped smiling at me.

"by the way, will you be my date to military ball tomorrow night? wear a nice dress." he and daniels smiled and left as I stood there with my mouth agape.
