The chattering group of students headed towards Ms Circe's classroom for another AMT class filled with excitement.
'Quiet down now class, I have an extremely important announcement, as the senior students know, the annual SummaMagia competition is coming up. We have to select a new team to compete, team members will attend the masters magic class in addition to their usual one and the AMT. Our new team representatives have to be the top of the class. There can be 3 competitors from each level.'
The class started bustling again, who would be selected? Ziara glanced at Diana, heart beating fast. Who was on the team last year? Thought Ziara. She made a mental list in her head, Megaline from the senior grade, Annalise, Megaline's friend, the team captains, Laris Vexas...
'Do you want to compete, Zi?'
Ziara's head shot up and nearly crashed into Diana, who had been leaning over.
'Of course! It's a great honor!'
'Me too! I've watched every single one of the SummaMagia competitions since I was a kid! I really hope we're good enough for the team.'
Ms Circe clapped her hands, 'Stop your chattering! I have another announcement to make, last term, only one of the first form could join the masters class as an extra curricular, this term, as long as you pass the test, all first forms can join.'
A new wave of excitement enveloped the class.
They soon started their practise and the hours flew by.
