Rehearsal Dinner

I wake up with sams head on my chest. I bring my hand to his cheek. I softly touch him and he wakes up.
"Morning beautiful" I say as I push his hair out of his face. He stupidly smiles at me. I kiss his forehead and pull him closer to me if that's even possible at this point.
"Morning" he says and kisses my lips then my neck.
A moan slips from my mouth. I feel him laugh against my collarbone.
"What's so funny asshole?" I lightly punch his arm.
"Nothing, nothing" his lips return to their previous position.
"Sam we have to talk" I say and sigh. He repositions himself next to me.
"What's up?"
"I heard you and jakes conversation yesterday, Sam you can't feel that way about me. I'm not staying. I can't stay. I have a life in New York now. A job, apartment, a fucking cat. Sam I can't be here with you." My heart aches as I say those words but it needs to be done. The bright expression on his face dropped. He doesn't say anything.
"Sam I'm seriously sorry but I just I can't do this again. It's too much. You're too much, at least right now" I place my hand on his hand and bring my other hand to his face. He leans in and kisses me, desperation seeping out of his mouth into mine. I move myself into his lap and deepen the kiss. He moves his hands up my back, under my shirt and to my bra. He unhooks it with ease which is honestly kinda hot. He tosses it aside and moves his hands to my tits. He plays with them under my shirt. I push myself against him and groan.
"I love you elly" Sam whispers in my ear. I melt into him.
"Sam-"
He cuts me off . "I don't think you understand el. I love you. I'm in love with you. I thought I was over you but then I saw you walk down those stairs into the living room and I everything came rushing back to me. You're the one I want. I need you el. Seriously. You're so beautiful. I'm not even talking about your appearance. Your entire existence is so beautiful. You get things on a different level. You understand me and you understand my life. Elise I love you"
I don't say anything. I just kiss him. I let my hands trace to his torso which is bare right now. His body is so warm against my hands.
I pull away from him and breathe for a second.
"Sam I love you too" the words are so hard to get out. I've told him I love him before but that was back when we were together.
I really believe he's the love of my life. Whether not I stay or not, I know I need him.
I make eye contact with him. His eyes hold so much emotion. I smile weakly and bring my hand to his face. I gently rub my thumb across his cheek. This man is my home.
He kisses me gently. I deepen the kiss. His hands slide up and down my back as we kiss. "We should get ready" I say against his lips. He nods disapprovingly. "I'm gonna shower."
I take a shower and come back out. He's dressed in the suit he's wearing for the rehearsal dinner tonight. He's standing next to the dresser on his phone. I go into my bag and pull out a short black body con dress. I slip on my underwear then the dress. I turn to Sammy and his eyes are locked on my body.
"What? Is it too bad?" I turn to the full body mirror hanging on my door.
"God no you look amazing" he comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist.
"I feel fat" I say under my breathe.
"You look beautiful baby" he kisses my shoulder. I smile at our reflection in the mirror.
"We're such a pretty couple Sammy" I pull out my phone and snap a picture to capture moment.
"Yeah we are" he pulls away from me and grabs his shoes. He puts them on then sits on the bed. I grab my black heels and slip them on.
"Ready to finally leave this room?" He asks.
At this point it's like 1pm. I nod and we make our way through the hall, down the stairs, and into the dining room where everyone is sitting.
Everyone else is dressed in their fancy clothes too thank god. Aurora is wearing a short red dress, Sydney is wearing a grey longer dress. The boys are just wearing suits.
"How'd we grow up so fast guys?" Danny says after me and Sam sit at the table. "Just what seems like a few years ago we were sitting at this table as 15 year olds. Now I'm getting married to the girl of my dreams, Jake and josh are in serious relationships. Sams, well sams still in the same exact position but it's fine. We're all in a sorta successful band. Our Album did great" Meghan places her hand on his and says "I know baby we grew up" He leans in and kisses her. She's grinning when they pull away from each other.
"Well I'm damn proud of us." Sam chimes in.
"We made it pretty far" Jake adds. "Well some of us"
I sigh and fake a smile.
"Elly what have you done since you left?" Josh asks me but in a sweet I-wanna-know-how-youve-been kinda way.
"Well I got into Columbia then I moved there and I've been studying psychology. I'm renting an apartment over there too." I pause "it's nothing like here though. It doesn't feel like home. You guys are my home." I look down at my hands.
"We love u el" Meghan says sweetly. Everyone nods around the table. I smile at them and my mom brings us out her world famous "super tuna fish salad". We all eat then watch a movie.

After then of the movie around 3:30 we all head out in the mini van. My moms driving this time and Meghan's chillin in Danny's lap because all the seats are taken. She obviously doesn't mind though. A few minutes in Sam reaches for my hand and I let him. He kisses my cheek. I've got a huge grin on my face.

About thirty minutes later we pull up to a little diner called 'toasty mikes'. I don't really understand why it's held here but I follow everyone inside and take a seat. I see a few girls Meghan went to school with and two or three of our cousins and grandparents. I'm sure that's her wedding party. We are all sitting in front of the small stage in the joint. Danny walks onto the stage and grabs the mic off the mic stand.
"Meghan Rose Gallagher, you are the love of my life. You're basically all I think, that and my music." There are scattered giggles around the room. "You're so beautiful to me. I love everything about you. I love the way you snort when you laugh, the way your face looks when you're sleeping next to me. In that note, I love that you talk in your sleep, I find out so many secrets. That how I found out you loved me. You were asleep and I was admiring you because,wow, you said 'Danny boy I'm in love with you' I immediately woke you up and said I loved you. You said it back. That was such a proud moment in my life. Knowing I had you and that you had me. It made me so proud. I'm so proud to call you mine meg. Now here we are, in the restaurant we're we went our first date after I begged you to give me a chance for a month straight, four years later and I'm marrying you. I've never been more excited in my life.I love you Meghan." Danny concludes his toast and I look over to Meghan who's got tears streaming down her face. It's so heart warming to see a love like that. She stands up from her chair and kisses him as he walked to her. "I love you Danny Robert Wagner" she says to him. He uses his thumb to wipe the tears off her cheek. Good thing she doesn't wear makeup. "Shit I guess it's my turn now" she lets out a laugh and makes her way to the stage. She grabs the mic and takes a deep breath.
"Daniel Robert Wagner. The only man I've ever loved and the only one who's ever loved me. I can't believe I'm marrying you tomorrow. Its mind blowing. I prayed we'd end up together and it's actually happening. I'm so in love with you" her voice cracks and she begins to cry again. "I'm so thankful for you Danny baby. I wouldnt be here without you. You're my everything. I can't wait to raise a family with you. Our babies are going to be the cutest little people on the planet. Speaking of," she pulls something out of her pocket. "I'm pregnant" it's a pregnancy test. "I just found out earlier today and I wanted all of you to know. Me and Danny are going to be parents" Danny stands up from his chair and runs on stage, picks her up and hugs her.
"No way!" Hes crying now. He touches his hand to her stomach then drops to his knees. He's basically sobbing in front of her.
Everyone in the room starts clapping and cheering. I'm going to be an aunt. Wow.
The rest of the dinner went smoothly everyone gave toasts and then we ate some pretty good burgers.
On our way back home everyone was freaking out for them. I'm so happy for her. She deserves this so much. When we get home we all sit in the living room and watch a movie. Meghan chose "the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" all the girls were crying at the end except for aurora. I think she's totally a stone cold bitch. I just hope she doesn't come for me.
We all head to bed after that. I undress myself to my underwear and crawl into bed with Sam. He puts his head on my chest and falls asleep just like that. This feeling of guilt rests in my stomach. He looks so peaceful and happy but all that's on my mind is Jake. The way he's been treating me.
