My initial purpose for this novel is to remind our fellow human beings about unity, not to keep destroying our environment, and destroying our society. I hope that we, as humans, would be able to bear the responsibility of sustaining the society and environment, and would not have to result to violence to solve all problems.
The society we are in now is really dangerous and unstable, with many conflicts worldwide, big and small, brewing. Environment wise, it is also getting incredibly dangerous with climate change happening at an incredibly fast rate, yet the world leaders would not do anything and still choose to meddle with minor politics that would do them little good in the long run. In times like this, we have to unite and create positive change to the problems currently happening.
Yet, many countries' leaders still continue to heavily prioritize the economy over the environment, which they think would do them good. But when a major worldwide catastrophe occurs and devastates the entire world, there would be no more politics and economics to discuss, and it will be too late for us.
I would not hope for a utopian society because it is totally inconceivable to be able to polish our society to perfection, but I hope that we would be able to create a society that has enough compassion and unity to stand for what is needed for humans to continue to remain on the face of this planet. Our generation is the last generation to decide our kind's fate, and the fate of many other inhabitants living together with us on this planet.
Although this novel is shaped like a sci-fi action novel about war, its purpose is to show a sense of hope for unity in our society to combat global problems, and not wait until it is too late. This is the message I wanted to bring across to my readers, and I hope that you would understand how I feel about our society and the change that we would need to make.
