I hope all of you are doing well tonight...or whatever your time is right now. I have a couple of questions I want to ask you. Do you ever dream of anything? Of a person, or an object you would like to meet or have? Do you ever think of how you're going to get to that point to do it?
I have an answer...just follow you're heart. Forget other people. Forget their comments. Forget their put downs. You are you. Don't let anyone ever tell you no. But, there's a catch to this. The only way you'll ever be you're own person, is if you trust yourself. If you love yourself. If you accept yourself. You have to work in order to get what you want in life, and the only possible way to do that is take the first step of believing in yourself. I'm going through this myself, so I can't say this works for everyone. Maybe you're an introvert that doesn't really want to put themselves out there socially and wants to maybe work on a dream from inside their comfort space. But still, you have to believe in yourself if you want to pursue what you want.
Now, let me tell you this. Rain. Imagine the sound of it. But what type of rain? That's for you to choose. Heavy rain from a thunderstorm, or a light pitter patter of tiny droplets of water gently falling onto the ground. That's what I love about rain. It's free to do whatever it wants, whenever it wants. I want to be free like that rain, wouldn't you? Imagine the rain in a busy city during the day. Now how about night? In a flower field, and in a countryside. Rain goes wherever it likes, and it has it's different sounds. That's because it believes in itself. It loves itself. It trusts itself to make those new sounds and leave an impact on the people it shows itself to.
Wouldn't you like to be rain?
Be like rain, and be free. Do what you would like. Follow your own path.
How's the weather like where you are right now? Is it rainy? Sunny? Snowy? Dry? Imagine these different weathers, in different locations you would like to go. Those locations are trusting of the weather. It knows that it can trust those different weathers no matter what. But, every now and again, it has that one weather that the location thinks it can trust, but the weather just ends up ruining its beauty and leaving it to fix itself.
Wouldn't you say that the weather and your chosen location is like your life? You have those few people that come into your life that you know you can trust, but that one faker that just ends up tricking you in the end. That's how life works. Love and hate, but both one in the same. You have to trust yourself to trust others, but also believe in yourself enough to pick up the pieces that one faker left you in, and not give up.
When you feel like you do want to give up, remember that there is someone who loves you out there. Remember your family. If not family, then friends. If not friends, then yourself. You always have someone to fall back on.
When that rain falls too heavy, and you realize you've slipped up, recognize your mistakes and learn from them. Never lie to yourself. You'll only hurt yourself. You are the only one in control of your life, and no one else. True, there will always be ground rules whether it be with yourself or from another person, but sometimes those ground rules are needed to keep you in check and make you want to continue in the pursuing of your dreams.
Just remember, one day, you are going to make it.
No one can stop you.
