"Shhhhhh! It's me, it's me. Calm down" The voice whispered.

I Turned my head up to see a silhouette face. One that I found beautiful and scary at the same time... Tristan.

"What the fuck are you doing grabbing me like that?!" I yelled pushing him away.

"Stop fucking yelling! They're going to find us." He yelled just above a whisper.

He was right. But I didn't want him to know that so I changed the subject. " Why were you following me?!"

He put his finger to his mouth in a shushing motion. They were here... The drunk people. He backed me against the wall of a dumpster. His arms against the dumpster behind me. I felt his breath fan my face, He was extremely close.Oh he smells so damn good. Oh god I hope I smell okay. I lowered my head to smell myself in a non strange way... Well I don't smell bad. I was cut off from my thoughts by footsteps walking towards us. Fuck fuck fuck. Please stop Walking. I quickly looked up at Tristan. His eyes were on me. I couldn't see them very well in the lighting but I could feel them watching me... Maybe he can hear my thoughts. Don't be stupid Soph. But I could hear his breathing getting heavier, mainly because his chin was like 4 inches from my nose. The footsteps were moving towards us getting louder and louder. When the unexpected happened. Tristan stood from the dumpster revealing himself to the drunk losers.

"Tristan?" I whispered. But he didn't respond, not even a glance down at me.

"Who-who the fuckkkk are you?" One of the drunks slurred.

"Someone you don't want to mess with." Tristan bit back.

"Well what are you doing behind a dumpster?" Another asked.

"None of your goddamn business." He replied.

I could hear their footsteps moving in towards him... And me.

"I wouldn't." Tristan warned.

"Wouldn't what?"

I could see Tristan's face from the street light, and he had this murderous smirk plastered on it. The next events happened in the blink of an eye. Tristan threw something from behind his back, I heard screams, he was gone from his spot above me more screams. Next came silence. My heart was pounding a mile a minute. I wanted to know what happened to him where he had gone, but I was frozen in my spot. Unable to make the commitment to move. I closed my eyes 'breathe Soph just breathe' I reminded myself. I wobbled to my feet and peeked around the side of the dumpster

The alleyway was empty, not a soul in sight. What the hell? Where'd Tristan go?! I took this moment of confusion to run to the main street, the house was only 2 blocks away. I ran the whole way. Getting inside and running to my bedroom locking the door behind me. Pulling my phone out, I called Bayleigh.

"Hello?" A male voice answered... Definitely not Bayleigh's voice... Obviously.

" I'm sorry I must have the wrong number."

"Sophia?"

"Yes?" I was confused, I didn't recognize the voice. "Who the hell is this?"

The person laughed, "It's me, Joey."

"Oh... Well where's Bayleigh?"

"Ummm..... She was dancing with Chris. But I don't see them anymore."

"When you see her tell her I made it home safe."

"Alright. Yeah will do. Oh hey tell Tristain to play nice will ya?"

"Uhh... he's not with me." I answered confused.

"I just talked to him, and he said he was with you."

"Well he's lyin-" the floor outside my room creaked.

"Joey there's someone outside my door." I whispered.

"What? I- I can't hear you Soph" He yelled.

"Joey there's someone in my house!" I whispered loudly as I could.

"I ca- ear- u-" Was all i could hear before the line went dead.

Then a knock came from the other side of the door, "Sophia? It's Tristan ."

I swung the door open, "Who the fuck are you breaking into my house like that?!" I spat angrily.

He backed up, "Damn woman, calm down, you left the front door open."

I was quiet. "Oh."

He rolled his eyes, and ran his hand through his hair. " You disappeared, you should've waited for me."

I crossed my arms, "You're the one that disappeared on me."

"I was chasing those perverts away from you." He spat.

"Well then maybe you should of told me that, instead of disappearing into thin air." My voice rising.

Glaring, he walked toward me like i was his prey, backing me into my room until i hit the edge of my bed. "Stop looking at me like that." I whispered.

His pupils were the size of saucers, which made his eyes look black. He lifted his hand to my face, which made me flinch, but he just pushed hair behind my ear, "Why does trouble follow you?"

I swallowed the lump in my throat, "I don- don't know." I stuttered.

He backed away biting his lower lip, "Because you have Damsel in Distress written on your forehead."

I gasped, "No I don't!" I followed him as he walked out of my room and into the hallway. He let his index finger run along the wall. He chuckled, "The hell you don't!" I stuck my tongue out at the back of his head. "I saw that." He said irritated.

"Good for you." i answered with sass in my tone.

He stopped at the front door, and turned to face me, "Lock the door after i leave will ya?" He pleaded.

"Duh." I answered.

He scratched the back of his neck and chuckled, "Boy am i going to have fun with you at work." And with that he pulled out a cigarette from his back pocket and put it between his lips. "See ya Damsel." He walked out the front door.

"My name is Sophia!" I yelled as he disappeared down the sidewalk. He waved a hand in the air. I shut the door, locking it.
