Chapter 6
It’s been five years since I killed my mother, my brother’s and sisters have left… left me to die in my disgrace that they think I am. Nazar’s words still haunt my mind…
No Akalta… what have you done?
Oh why can’t he leave me in peace, I just want my life back. Who cares about being blind, it’s better than having an evil spirit living inside your body killing innocent loved ones.
“Why did this happen?”
“Because you were alone, and lost…. and I helped you find your way.. you should be thanking me young Akalta. Not cursing my name.”
“Nazar leave my body right now! Can’t you see you’ve done enough damage?”
“No, it’s not enough it’s never enough!”
“What do you want from me?”
“Your soul..”
I shudder, it’s not everyday you hear an evil demon spirit telling you, it wants your soul. A single tear rolls down my cheeks at the thought of what I could’ve become if I hadn’t listened to Nazar. What have I become?
“Something great… something powerful…. something wonderful..”
“This! This is not wonderful Nazar this is pain, this is death, this is torture! Why can’t you leave me ALONE?”
“Because my work is not done… my work is never done.”
I rake my claws against my skull as he keeps whispering in that creepy, little voice of his… the one that burns my heart. The one that breaks my bones… that eats my soul.
“Akalta this is who you’ve become… embrace it… for there is no going back.”
