why are you calling so late? isn't it 3am there?

Liv furrowed her brows, her eyes searching Dele's for a minute. It was dark on his end of the call, the only light illuminating his face being the one coming from his phone screen.

everything okay?

yeah, yeah. i just couldn't sleep.

oh, jetlag. i know exactly how you feel.

well, that, and...i'm just so nervous for tomorrow.
there's just so much pressure on us.
everyone calls us the new generation national team and i really, really, don't want to mess up.
i don't want to let the people back home down, you know?

you don't have to worry so much, querido.
you have the whole country, your friends, and your family behind you! there's no better support.
all you have to do is get out there and play your best. at the end of the day, win or lose, you'll rest easy knowing you played well.

yep. he fell asleep so quickly and his snoring's not making it any easier for me to fall asleep.
