"Jane come downstairs!" My older brother, Levi, yells to me.
I sigh and get out of bed, heading downstairs. My brother has his friends Ethan, Grayson, and Alex over. I'm pretty close with Ethan and Alex, but I haven't really talked to Grayson much.
"What do you want?" I ask when I get downstairs.
"Will you order a pizza?" Levi asks.
"Seriously? You are all perfectly capable of ordering one yourselves," I say.
"But I'm too busy kicking Ethan's ass in this game!" He says and I roll my eyes.
I order some pizzas and head back upstairs, telling them they have to get the door when the pizza guy is here. About an hour later, Levi calls me down again since the pizza is here. They invite me to watch a movie, so I say yes. We all sit around the living room eating pizza and watching a horror movie. Halfway through the movie, which is terrifying by the way, I realize I'm practically on Grayson's lap. I awkwardly move away from him, and he looks at me, so I mouth 'sorry' to him.
"You were fine where you were," he says with a wink, causing me to blush.
I'm not going to lie, Grayson is pretty attractive. I've always thought so, but he's my brother's best friend, so obviously I can't act on any of my feelings. The movie ends and I take everyone's trash to the kitchen. I decide to end the night early, and go up to bed. I fall asleep relatively fast, and wake up the next morning and go downstairs. All of the boys are up and eating breakfast, so I grab some cereal and sit with them. We all talk for a bit, and Ethan asks me to come over later to help him get ready for a date. We all put our dishes in the sink and I go back upstairs. I watch youtube for a bit, then I realize I have to be at Ethan's house soon. I put my hair in a messy ponytail and put on a little bit of makeup. I change into an old oversized hoodie and shorts and head out the door. I get to Ethan's house and he lets me in. We go up to his room and I help him get ready.
"You know, Gray's been asking me about you all day," Ethan says.
"What? Really?" I ask, sounding very surprised.
"Yeah, he kept asking if you had a boyfriend and stuff," he says.
"What do you think that means?" I ask.
"Maybe he likes you, I don't know," he says honestly.
Once Ethan's ready for his date, he leaves and I grab my stuff and start to leave, until I run in to Grayson.
"Hey Jane, are you leaving?" He asks.
"Yeah, Ethan just left for his date," I say.
"Why don't you hang out here with me for a bit? I get bored by myself," he says.
"Sure, why not," I say.
We go to the living room and he turns on some random movie. We end up talking for a long time and learning a lot about each other. He's a lot more than just a pretty face, let me tell you that.
"Well, it's getting pretty late, I should probably head home," I say.
"I had fun with you. Would you maybe want to go get coffee tomorrow?" He asks.
"Like a date?" I ask.
"I mean, if you want it to be," he says.
"Yeah, I'd like that. I'll see you tomorrow then," I say and go out to my car.
