Explaining The Caste System.

This is for all those who haven't read the books or have forgotten.

First things first. In the Selection series people are divided into castes, based on the job of their ancestors. 

One's Are Royalty.

Two's are celebrities. Such as famous singers, athletes, actresses, models, politicians, guards, etc.

Three's are people like, teachers, philosophers, inventors, doctors, lawyers, writers, music producers.

Fours are the people who are involved in business such as, real estate agents, chefs, jewelers, farmers and construction managers, and factory workers.

Fives or people who are involved in Art and performances. Such as singers, musicians, photographers, dancers, circus performers and state actors.

Sixes are workers, meaning they are housekeepers, secretaries, waiters, cooks,  seamstresses, drivers and basically servants.

Sevens are the manual laborers. They are construction workers, farmhands, pool cleaners, gardeners, gutter cleaners, trash collectors, sevens are similar to sixes.

The last caste and most horrible of them all are the eight's. They're known as untouchables. They include people who are homeless, Addicts, runaways, illegitimates, and people who are medic mentally and physically unwell.

One being the highest caste and eight being the lowest caste.

Whatever caste you where born into is the one you stay into. Unless you are a girl, in that case you can marry into a higher caste. For anybody who was selected, it doesn't matter what caste you were in before after being selected wether you go home or not you automatically become a two, because you are considered a celebrity. Even if you went home early.
