19 year old Tommy Jarvis was alone in the now abandoned Camp Crystal Lake, the docks were his usual spot when visiting. The cool but clean autumn air provided some serenity for the broken teen, who sat near the lake at the docks with a beer bottle in his hand, "I'm going to make sure that you don't come back." He said to himself while holding his head, then sat his bottle down to contemplate. Hallucinations and nightmares persisted, even after the defeat of Jason.

Soft footsteps could be heard from behind, causing the docks to creak and this immediately startled Tommy who whirled around to see his friend Tracy with a worried look on her face. She was a 20 year old with fine dirty blonde hair and blue eyes that wore a white top with denim overalls, her beauty always graced Tommy so he was left with a sense of relief but also contentment. "When will you NOT come here?" She pouted as she stomped her foot, this caused Tommy to drop his head but he soon raised it, "It brings me comfort knowing he is in there. You wouldn't understand." With this response, Tracy quickly sat beside him and folded her arms. "You don't have to worry so much though. I doubt he'll come back." Tommy only shook his head at this and placed his hand on hers "I guess so, but I want to keep a lookout anyways." Tracy only rolled her eyes when he said this but cocked her head to the side to overlook the lake, "Look, I get it, the past is eating at you but I might have a remedy for that. Why don't you come to the bonfire party at the field behind my house tonight? It'll be good for you. You can make some new friends, drink your head off and you might find someone you like." She said this with a smile but Tommy remained solemn, "I suppose I will. I can't make any promises though." He responded standing back up, "I'm going to take a walk around the camp, you're free to join me." Tommy began to head out, hands in his jean pockets with Tracy following.

They both wandered the abandoned camp, only to find remnants of what was once a lively place. The cabins were wearing down and there wasn't much to them, except for one particular building that caught Tracy's attention, so she made her way into it but Tommy was reluctant to follow, "Look at this place. It seems a little different from the other cabins." Said Tracy as she looked around with curiosity—Tommy stepped inside and had an unsettling yet familiar feeling in his gut so he stayed close to his friend, the scent of old mildew and mold filled the air. Tracy soon noticed an old journal lying on the floor with some of its pages sprawled out so she picked it up whilst also gathering up the remains. When reading into it, she found that it once belonged to Pamela when she worked at the camp, "Huh, this diary used to belong to Pamela Voorhees when she worked here." Tommy quickly took the diary from her after she had said this, his curiosity having been sparked—his hands shook when he saw one particular page, "She hated it here, and I suppose Jason did too." Having said this, Tracy just blinked at him but shrugged "Well what's done is done. Jason had a shitty life and he gave people shitty lives as well, so let's move on and make life better for ourselves." Tracy said to him and gave a warm smile—Tommy simply nodded, "I suppose you're right, but I'm going to keep this diary anyways." He picked up the rest of the pages and stuffed them into his back pocket along with the diary, "Hopefully your obsession with Jason dies down soon. You would certainly feel a lot better. Anyways I'll see you at the party, it starts at 10PM." Tracy gave her friend a hug then walked off, leaving Tommy by himself once more to ruminate.

The night came and it was almost time for the bonfire party—the sky was completely clear and the crescent moon could be seen, giving off very little light to the darkness of the night. Tommy made his way to Tracy's home which was isolated near a pine forest with an open field behind the house. He wore nothing but a red plaid shirt, some jeans and boots but it was all he cared to throw on—he climbed his way up to the window of Tracy's room and watched as her parents drove off so he gave a soft knock on the glass. Tracy soon answered, she was wearing an oversized denim jacket with ripped jeans, a tank top and sneakers, the look greatly suited her and Tommy admired it, "You're early, but that's a good thing." She smiled and pulled him into her room, giving him a tight hug. "I'm so worried about you, Tommy. I want you to live life and be happy, not worry yourself to death over some maniac." When she had said this, Tommy hugged her back and sighed with the smell of her sweet jasmine perfume giving him some form of relaxation, "I know..." He mumbled to her before pulling away. "Now, let's get this party started. You could definitely use a good time." She grinned at him and left the room to prepare with Tommy following her.

People started to enter the house before they made a quick journey outside to where the bonfire was. The sound of laughter and talking grew, rock music was blasting through the boombox and people were grilling food—everyone was having a good time, but Tommy only sat alone in a folded chair that was a good distance away from the fire, the diary having been hidden away in his pockets. Tracy eventually approached him, she had two other people with her and was ready to introduce him, "Tommy, I'd like you to meet Janice and Ryan. Janice and Ryan, this is my friend Tommy Jarvis.'", "Uh, nice to meet you both." He said to them and Janice, the rocker chick, gave a simple wave while looking away, "Isn't this the crazy kid that killed Jason?" Ryan, the biker dude, asked Tracy, who scratched her head, "He's not really crazy, he's actually a really good guy. Just needs more friends is all." She said with a sheepish smile—Ryan's remark left Tommy feeling a little uncomfortable and so he stood up to quietly walk off back inside the house. Tracy frowned at this and glared at Ryan, "You don't fucking ask questions like that to someone with a broken mind. You better apologize when he comes back out here." Tracy demanded, "Fine." He said with a scoff as he and Janice left to get some alcohol.

Tommy confined himself in the bathroom of Tracy's house, longing to be alone for a little while. He pulled out the diary from his pocket, the cover and pages worn down from age but still readable. Tommy could hear the song 'You Shook Me All Night Long' from the open window of the bathroom so it also allowed him to ignore some of the other noise. He finally opened up the diary and placed the pages in their respectful order. He started with the first page, delving into the broken mind of Pamela Voorhees.

"Those damned camp counselors. How could they let my precious Jason drown? He was a sweet boy, he didn't deserve any of this. They will all pay for this one day, I just know it. I'll make sure that they'll suffer and die miserable. I'm so sorry your life had to end like this, my dear Jason, I promise to avenge you."

This page didn't have much writing, but it showed Pamela's pain when she thought that Jason had died and for some reason, Tommy felt a little sympathy for her but wasn't completely sure as to why. Maybe it was because she falsely believed that she lost her child? He didn't quite know for sure, but Tommy still held onto his feelings of bitterness and hatred. An unsettling feeling quickly washed over him and he stood up from the toilet—looking out the window, he saw the figure of Jason Voorhees standing in the distance. He began to panic as fear set in but soon realized it was nothing but a hallucination, causing him to take deep breathes as soon as it disappeared. Tommy immediately put the diary away in his pocket and went back outside—he went over to Tracy as he panted softly. "Can I have a bottle of whiskey, please?" As soon as he said this, Tracy grinned and nodded. "That's the spirit!" She patted his shoulder and went off to get his bottle, leaving Tommy to take a seat back in his chair. Once Tracy had returned, Tommy decided to get wasted and try to forget about Jason.

The night became filled with the smell of alcohol and fire smoke, leaving many having a good time as they danced to rock n' roll or chatted for hours. Tommy was able to make friends with a few people, especially Janice and Ryan. He actually managed to have a good time for once and was able to forget about Jason at that moment.
