Michael's Pov

I sniffed one final time and opened my mouth to tell Tiana about Tricia. "It started when I saw her come into grade school the first time. She had her hair in a ponytail and she was wearing a bright flower dress.

I was only 7 so I didn't know much about girls, but she was just so pretty and gorgeous that I felt so nervous even looking at her. Cheesy right?" I asked rubbing my red nose with my hand.

I felt Tiana's comforting hand on my back and she rubbed in circles. "Not at all." she responded.

"We'll anyways Jackie was friends with her sister and he invited her and her family over for dinner so that's when I saw her again. I was so embarrassed when my mother told me to show Tricia my room, because it looked like a pigstye." I said laughing a little at the memory.

Tiana just smiled in return as I continued. "I showed her anyways and we had the same type of music interest and we started to talk about that until we started becoming good friends.

Years past and we were still friends but I had to move once I got a deal with Motown. So that left a big gap in our friendship, and I hated it as much as she did. Anyways I gave her this necklace here when we where 8 before I left." I said pointing to the shiny object in the scrapbook that she was wearing.

"It's beautiful." Tiana complimented looking at the necklace. I looked at her to see her admiring the necklace and bit my lip. Tiana reminded me so much of Tricia, that's why I had been so rude to her when we first had met.

I haven't truly loved anyone since I had Tricia and it might change for Tiana. "Michael?" I snapped out of it to see her looking back at me.

"Oh yeah sorry, the story." I said. She gave me a small smile. "I hadn't seen Tricia in 8 years. We had never been back to Gary, except when we went to see the road they named after us but I had heard then that she had moved to florida.

I wanted to see her so badly and I thought she had forgotten about me until my best friend surprised me at a concert. He called her up and told her to fly down her for my birthday. It was the best gift I could ever get and I couldn't thank him enough for it.

We started talking again and it got to a different level where I was becoming really interested in her, but I didn't know how to ask her on a date without it being awkward. So as childish as this sounds I wrote Will you like to go out on a date with me, circle yes or no." I was cut off by Tiana's aww's which I playfully rolled my eyes at.

"She circled yes and we went on our first date to a carnival. She kissed me when I dropped her off back at her house because she had moved to California for her new job. After that we had started going out more and she told me she had loved me when we went to the beach that night. Of course I said I loved her back because I always did.

Then after a while things became pretty serious and I proposed to her. We wanted to have our wedding on June 22nd which was her birthday. And June 19th came around the comer and we where both goin put to dinner and it was raining so hard."I paused there already feeling the tightness start form in my throat.

"I couldn't see where I was going and she warned me to slow down but I didn't listen. I didn't think I had been going that fast but I had. Apparently I ended up driving on the wrong side of the road and the car ended up swerving into the cars on the other side of the lane. And it was on her side." I closed my eyes and rubbed my face reliving the moment.

"I had bumps and bruises but she ended up in a coma and unfortunatley she wasn't able to wake up." I clentched my jaw and bit my lip.

"I'm so sorry." Tiana said leaning her head on my shoulder and rubbing circles into my back. I sniffed before talking again.

"Don't be, it isn't your fault. I just can't believe she left." I gave her a sad smile before staring at the ground. She turned her head to looked at me with sympathy before grabbing my big hand in her small one. "It wasn't her choice though, just by you talking about her I can tell that she loved you." Tiana said lifting my chin up.

"You won't leave me right, because I'm pretty sure your the only woman that I can actually see falling inlove with in the future." She gave me a small smile before pointing her pinky out. I chuckled at her childishness and hooked mine with hers.

"I promise I wont." She said before biting her lip. My eyes diverted towards her soft looking lips and I pressed mine against hers feeling the same way I had when I kissed Tricia.
