This world is filled with countless elements-- the living creatures existing and the inanimate objects that make up the planet Earth. Organisms dwell all around, on the dirt, underneath the water, and above the air. Even if my essence (soul) that survived the 'invasion' and lived for more than a millenium, it could not hope to explore the whole planet and see all there was to see.

But the time it spent lingering was not futile. It learned to synthesize itself in the flesh of many beings and study their components. It did so as well with the inanimate objects-- the bodies of water; the grains of sand, pebbles, and rocky mountains; the shrubs, the grass, the flowers and trees. Even the very air they breath, the heavy clouds, the crashing waves, the cold ice, the molten lava, the bolts of lightning and drizzling rain. Everything it witnessed was transmitted to me.

The planet may be larger than myself but its inhabitants are puny and deciduous. The creatures take many lifetimes to evolve and still have such short lifespan. To assimilate myself among them would be too easy. But the creatures roaming the land are of little interest to me. Their capacity so limited it is a disgrace to degrade myself to their level. I will wait for a while longer. Perhaps a millenium or two, or maybe even ten, before I plant a seed of their image among them.

I will create a form of their likeness to house my essence. And in it I will implant a fraction of my thought and memory. If I embed a hundredth of my essence into a single form, it should allow my creation to remain active on Earth for another hundred millenia or more. And in so doing, I can hibernate at peace and focus all my thought on my single creation. And once I've found a form I will come to indulge and approve, I shall create more images of myself and cast it cosmically on the planet until my being dominates the very planet itself.
