Chapter-2

Will you please stay calm for a while,let me finish the makeup,I said trying to make sanju di shut her month.

She is talking continuously from past  1hour,I know she is trying to cover her nervousness by talking like this.

After seeing her, I understood that it's not easy to be a bride,she know Jiju very well and she also met his family in several occasions but still she is so tensed today.

Here you are,all set to go, I said giving her the final touch up.

She looked at her reflection in the mirror and her lips instantly took a small curve.

No doubt Didi,Jiju will definitely fall in love with your bridal look, I said making her blush.

Then I went to get ready,I wore my favorite red colour saree and applied little makeup to cover my dark circles.

I have to admit that I missed my sleep so much immersing in wedding preparations which left me with those dark circles around my eye's.

After getting ready I went directly to the Mandap where Sanju di along with my parents performing pooja to goddess Gowri.

Once this pooja is completed then the actual process of wedding is going to start.

Anytime the groom side may arrive to the Mandap.I called few of my friends
to help me welcoming them at the entrance.

I planned a grand welcome to my Jiju,after all he is going to bare my sister for his whole life.So I, atleast,have to do this to make him happy right.

We stood there for almost 1 hour but there is no sign of groom side,I dialed Jiju's number but it's switched off.

I tensely dialed his father's number, even they are not responding. I sensed something is wrong.

I quickly went inside and saw Dad walking from here to there tensely,holding his heart in his hands.I know even he is worried about the delay of groom's side.

I asked one of my cousin Ravi to go to Jiju's house and see what happened.

The auspicious time for wedding is arriving and the environment around me heated up with tension and fear.

Sanju Di is almost at the verge of tears.God please don't ruin our happy day, I prayed silently holding Didi's shivering hand.

After few minutes Ravi called me and
informed that there is no one in Jiju's house and it was locked.

My heart skipped a beat after listening to his words.

Suddenly,few cars along with the groom's car halted infront of the Mandap giving us relaxation.

But wait, who is the person in the bridegroom attire,he doesn't look like my Jiju.

I went near to the entrance to conform my doubt, yes he is not Jiju.

I stopped in my tracks seeing the next person walking along with him.

Vi..kr..am..my body shivered uttering his name.

What is he doing here,by the way who is the person in groom's dress.
Many questions pooped in my brain,making my body drench in sweat.

Hello Mr.Krishna Prasad,this is Vikram Ahuja,I guess you know me,he said standing infront of Dad.

Yes,Why do you come here?Dad asked with quivering voice.

I heard that your to be son-in-law cheated you all,so I am here to help you,he said in a causual tone.

What help?Dad asked wiping the sweat beads formed on his forehead.

He is Mr.Arun Singaniya,my bestfriend,he is going to marry your daughter in order to save your pride,he said making my blood boil.

Who the hell asked you to help us,we don't need any kind of favour from you,better if you leave from here or else I will call police,I yelled at one stretch gathering all my courage.

Cool Ms.Midhuna,It's not a good thing to yell at someone who came to help you,he said stepping close to me and staring into my eyes.I clenched my hands in fear.

Listen,we don't want any kind of help from you,we will find another nice guy for my daughter,please don't create a scene here, please go,dad pleaded joining his hands infront of him and my heart broken into pieces seeing that scene.

Ofcourse as a middle class school teacher, he have no guts to go against a gangster.

Listen Sir ,I came here to help you and you know what I hate it if someone refuse my help.

And forget about finding a nice guy for your daughter because I am going to kidnap him too, he said by rubbing the back of his neck and staring at me with a smirk.

Abhi's father slapped him after listening to his words and his man sho..ot.ed uncle on his hand.

He moaned in pain,blood started oozing out of his body and his white shirt turned into red, my legs trembled seeing blood flowing infront my eyes.

My parents collapsed on the floor seeing all this.Sanju Didi broken down into tears,imaging what's going to happen next.

The next few hours went so numb,that bast*rd made Didi married that man forcefully and I stood there helplessly.

That moment when I saw my whole family drowning in tears, I hated myself for my helplessness.

I want to kill that monster with bare  hands.I hate you for life Vikram Ahuja,I muttered between my sob.
