Chapter 2

I was sitting in the limo as far away as I could from that monster.

"You know, Hon, just because you're sitting so far away from me, doesn't mean that you're not coming home with me" said Nick staring me.

I just sat farther away than him as he said that. I can't believe I actually am mates to him.

The limo pulled into my drive way. I quickly jumped out before he could grab me and bolted into the house.

"Dad, there is a monster after me!!!! Help me!" I yelled while jumping over the table.

My dad and brother shot right up and screamed "What!"

"Yeah he is sooooo mean and scary!" I whined using my puppy dog eyes knowing my brother and dad would do anything for me if I did the eyes.

"Acually, I am not a monster. I am your mate and I do not appreisate you calling me one." Nick said calmly though there was anger flashing through his eyes.

My brother and father looked at him and then widened there eyes. They immediatly bowed there heads ands said "Alpha." I looked at Nick, he was staring at me, probably expecting me to do the same thing, but no way in hell was I doing that.

Nick's eyes grew angerier, if that was even possible.

"You," he growled to Dad, "why did my mate not know who I am and does she not know the smallest thing about respect."

"We thought she didn't need to know because we live in such a small town and we thought she would never get someone of your status as a mate." my father rambled on.

"Thanks Dad." I said sarcasticly while Dustin rolled on the ground laughing at what my dad said.

He cracked a smile and said "I didn't mean it like that and you know it." I laughed and then kicked Dustin.

"Owwwwwww!"

"Suck it up."

Nick was glaring at everyone in the room. "Do you take anything seriously?! Lilah go pack your things we are leaving after I do pack business." he commanded in a weird tone of voice that made me do whatever he said.

After I packed my things, I slipped out of the house. Using the money I had, I bought a boque of flowers and ran to my mom's grave.

I put the flowers there and then sat down. I stared at the grave.

"What do I do, Mom." I let a tear run down my cheek.

"How did I know you were going to be here." I turned around and saw Dustin smiling sadly at me. he sat down next to me and i jumped into his lap and cried into his chest.

After I calmed down, Dustin said "Come on, Li. The Alpha was looking for you when I left and that was forty five minutes ago." I laughed

"Okay."

When we were walking back we cracking jokes with each other acting as though I wasnt leaving when I got back to the house.

When we got back to the house, Nick was standing in the door way looking pissed off.

"Where have you been?!"

"None of your bees wax!"

He stormed over to me and said "Acually, it is, but I will let it pass this time. Go say goodbye to your family, now."

I turned to Dustin and jumped on him. "Bye squirt." he laughed. I got off and then ran to my dad.

"Bye Daddy." I whispered as I hugged him.
