O Eternal Heaven, Dwynwen possesseth thee

In loves woven embraces: Holy sought graces;

Upon the lilies she presseth: a seraph of sanctuary,

Thy heart captured: a lyre, attuned beats, rapturous reverences

Lovers wooed: spousal slumbers, to hymeneal chambers,

Whither the well, kin come, sub rosa, covenanted

with amorous dews, that issue forth: the cup runneth over,

Whence wishes on blushing vestals are granted;

Anointing mortals with immortal lovers …forever:

Spiritual impressments for impoverished souls,

Washed in rose-water,

Supping from her sacred kissing bowls.

Holy arrows doth, in the regions of the blessed, whirr;

The Welsh Martyrs dart, sets heart astir!
