Darcy had no idea where she was or how she had got there. She was surrounded by a bunch of strangers who looked just as confused as she did.

Darcy turned to a girl next to her and grabbed her attention by tapping her on the shoulder.

"I-.. I don't know.."
Darcy stopped, struggling to find the right words.

"Do you know where we are?"
She finally asked but the girl was quiet for a long while.

At first she had a blank look on her face but after minutes of thinking she genuinely looked like she wanted to answer Darcy's question.

"I don't.. know"
The girl said, seemingly also getting tongue tied. Her face contorted in confusion and her eyebrows scrunched together in attempt to answer Darcy's question.

Darcy sighed and nodded, still trying to figure out where she was.

The doors to the dim room burst open and in walked a tall woman in a sleek black dress.

She stopped to look at all of the girls in the room then smiled when her light green eyes zeroed in on Darcy.

The woman started to walk towards Darcy, the click of her black heels echoing throughout the barren room.

As she woman stopped in front of Darcy, a shiver ran down her spine.

Darcy's gaze met the woman's for a quick second, and she immediately regretted it. The woman's eyes held no mercy as she stared down at Darcy.
Her expression was completely emotionless, no pity, guilt or regret in sight.

When the woman noticed Darcy had no intentions in moving she sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"lord have mercy- Sweetie I don't have all day!" She snapped at Darcy, Darcy flinched at the harshness in her voice and quickly redirected her gaze back to the concrete floor.

The woman sighed once more and grabbed Darcy by her arm roughly pulling her to her feet.

"I hope you learn some respect, and fast, or you won't last a second with your master"
The woman said as she pulled Darcy out of the room, down a long white hallway and to another room.

As the woman dragged her away she squeezed her eyes close tight.
Darcy didn't understand what was going on.
She had no clue how she got her, or why there were so many other girls here looking distressed and confused, or why this woman was being so mean to her.

The woman finally let go of Darcy's. Darcy didn't open her eyes though, she continued to squeeze them closed tightly.

"Open your eyes"
The woman ordered and Darcy immediately complied, not wanting to anger her anger her anymore than she already did.

The woman pulled an outfit off of a clothes rack next to her.

"Put it on, and make it snappy"
With that the woman walked away.

Darcy took a moment to look around. There were lot's of people in the room around her.
Most of them were girls but there were a few boys. All of them were exceptionally beautiful.

Some of the girls were crying, some were smiling, some looked emotionless, but most looked sad and miserable.

"Sweetie put the outfit on quickly, we don't have all day!"
A man snapped at Darcy.

She hurriedly put on the clothes she was given and waited for someone to tell her what to do next.

The scary woman from before walked back in.
She rounded all of the people in the room up and had them stand in a line. Darcy was centered at the front, second in line.

As they were led onto a stage Darcy and many other girls and boys were faced in front of a crowd of people.

A man walked onto the stage and stood by the girl in the front of the line.

"Alright, to start the bidding is this lovely looking girl.
We'll start at 15,000"
The man said and people started shouting out higher amounts.

"16,000!"

"18,000!"

"100,000!"

"150,000!"

And the room was silent.

"Going once, Going twice.."

"Sold! To the gentleman in the hat!" said the man with the mic.

The girl in front of me was led off stage and to the man who bid the highest price.

The man with the microphone steep beside me, inspecting me closely.

"Here we have a beautiful and innocent looking girl.
Since she looks rather exquisite we'll start the bidding at 120,000"

The man took a step back, both he and I listened as people shouted amounts of money, each time the amounts getting higher.

"150,000!"

"200,000"

"500,000!"

"600,000!"

"750,000!"

The room was quiet once more.

"Going one, Going twice.."

I sighed and let my head hang low, now realising that I had just been sold to a stranger, who probably didn't have the best intentions.

"Sold! To the gentleman in the back. You may now claim your prize!"
