The man led Darcy into a room.
It was a room she wasn't familiar with.

The room was dim, one light that hung off the wall illuminated the dark space.

Darcy turned around to face the man, looking at him with a questioning expression.

The man didn't say anything as he walked toward Darcy.
Immediately, Darcy began to take steps backwards as he strode towards her. Darcy took as many steps back as she could but was soon met with the feeling of the cold wall pressed against her back. The man was now in front of her, his tall stature towering over her.

The room was dead quiet.
The silence drenched the walls and hung from the ceiling.
It wrapped around Darcy in an eery manner that made her tremble.

Darcy didn't like the silence, or the eerily calm look on the man's face.

Suddenly the man moved his hand to rest against the wall barely an inch away from Darcy's head.

"I told you to stay in your room"
He rasped out in a very low voice.
Darcy couldn't possibly bring her eyes to meet his. She simply couldn't take being subjected to his dark gaze.

"Why do you disobey?"
He asked a softer this time.
If Darcy had the courage to look up she would've seen the pleased look on Dimitri's face.

He tried to be mad but he simply couldn't. He enjoyed slaves that were a little disobedient.
A good slave was just no fun.

"Answer me, slave"
His voice was deadly.
It was quiet and softly, but laced with poison.

Darcy's dainty hands clutched the end of her oversized shirt.

"I-I heard n-noises outside of
m-my r-room, a-a-and I-I-"
Dimitri cut the little girl off.

"So just because you hear people
talking outside your door you think that gives you permission to leave your room?"

Darcy didn't speak, she was just so afraid.

Darcy eyes widened when she felt a hand slip around her neck.
She squeezed her eyes closed tightly and willed her tears of fear to go away.

The calloused hand around her neck was starting to get tight.
She could feel the man's palm pressing against her windpipe.

"Do I need to discipline you, little lamb?" The man asked softly, tightening his grip around her neck.

Darcy tried her best to stay quiet but couldn't help the quiet sobs that left her mouth.

"N-no"
Darcy responded, her body trembling with fear.

The man sighed and tightened his grip around Darcy's neck. Darcy's mouth feel open as a silent gasp fell from her mouth. Slowly, It was getting harder to breath. The man's fingers dug into her neck, and pocked at her arteries. As every second went by , Darcy received less air.

Her brittle fingers went up to scratch at the man's hand.
She clutched the man's wrist in a desperate attempt to let her breath but he didn't budge.

"Let this be a lesson, I don't take disobedience lightly. Those who disobey will be punished"

The words barely reached Darcy's ears. Her eyes were slowly starting to droop and darkness started to fog up her vision.

The man finally released his crushing hold around Darcy's neck but it was too late.
Darcy's legs gave out from beneath her and her unconscious body slumped to the floor.
-

Darcy woke to the sound of the large mahogany doors creaking open and the sight of Molly rolling in cart a filled with breakfast food.

Groggily, Darcy sat up and noticed she was now back in the comfort of her own room.
Molly smiled at her as she rolled the breakfast cart in front of the table that sat in the lounge area.

"Hi darling"
Molly greeted softly as she pulled the thick covers off of Darcy and helped her out of bed. Darcy stretched her stiff arms and legs and watched as Molly set multiple plates of food on the table.

Darcy walked over to the table and sat down on the black sofa.
After Molly set out Darcy's meal she took a seat next to her.

"You left the room"
Molly said softly, the words falling off of her tongue in a poisonous manner.

Darcy looked down to the glossy wooden planks of the floor.
She knew she wasn't supposed to but curiosity got the best of her.
She was dying to know what was behind the door.

"You were supposed to stay in the room" Molly seethed out through gritted teeth. Molly didn't look angry, but she didn't look very pleased either. In all honestly, Molly looked a bit blank, as if she were trying to process what happened the previous night.

"Why?"
Molly finally turned to lool at Darcy, her eyebrows scrunched together confusion.

Darcy looked up at Molly.

"W-well I- I was curious, a-and I heard n-noises outside the door,
a-and I-"

Molly looked at her in disbelief.

"You were curious?"
Once again her words were poison.

Darcy looked back to the ground feeling very embarrassed.
She didn't like Molly being mad at her. She knew she made a mistake, and knowing was bad enough.  Now she was being scolded by the one person who was supposed to do the opposite.
Darcy just wanted Molly to embrace her and make her forget that she ever left the the room.

A sigh from Molly pulled Darcy from her thoughts. Darcy looked at Molly througher her thick lashes.
Her expression wasn't as bad as before. At first she looked mad but now she only looked disappointed.

With another sigh, Molly walked over to the black sofa where Darcy was sitting and took a seat next to her.
Molly thought it was best to leave the conversation where it stood.
Although she had much more to say - and scolding to do -  Molly didn't prod; she simply began to ready Darcy for breakfast. She set the asortment of dishes in front of Darcy.

" Enjoy your breakfast my dear. I'll be back shortly to help you dress"
With that said, Molly did a simple curtsy and left Darcy alone in the very large room to eat by herself.
