**Ross's P.O.V**
Annie and I walked into the bar going to sit with our usual group.
"Hey! Looks like Shor took a break from being a geek long enough to show!" Justin called spotting me.
"Yeah, let's do this." I sighed putting on my d-bag attitude. I turned to the slutty girl working the bar, "Hit me with a double and maybe later I'll take you to to the bathroom for your own double." I winked, and she giggled handing me my drink.
"Hey Shor, how's Laura doing?" Calum laughed.
"How should I know?" I rolled my eyes and took a drink.
"I don't know, maybe because you spend every free minute with her, talking about her, thinking about her, or worrying about her. Face it dude, the girl made you a dork." Calum said.
He's not wrong about all the thinking about her stuff, "Well, if I was a dork why would I be here?"
"Touché." Calum rolled his eyes.
"Now excuse me while I go fuck the bar tender." I stood up and took the slutty bar girl into the bathroom.
**Laura's P.O.V**
I sat in American Lit. as we discussed The Great Gatsby, but all I was thinking about was where Ross was. I saw him this morning getting out of his car, and our eyes met but then I saw Annie walking towards him. God, I hope he's not with her, but what if he is? Did last night mean nothing to him? What if he's out having sex with her? Is he just using me? How could I be so foolish, I should've known he wasn't into me. A guy like him would never want me, he just likes breaking hearts.
"Miss Marano?" the professor interrupted my thoughts.
"Laur." Raini nudged me.
"Oh, uh yes?" I shook my head clearing my thoughts.
"Could you read your essay on The Great Gatsby?"
"Yes, of course." I stood up and took my essay to the front, "The Great Gatsby was a wondrous yet tragic tale about love. Although Daisy was married to Tom, her heart truly belonged to Gatsby. When Daisy and Gatsby finally reunite, they rekindle their romance. Daisy's husband Tom becomes suspicious of Daisy and Gatsby's relationship soon finding out that Daisy loves Gatsby, enraged by this Tom drives to see Gatsby. Although Tom is enraged that Daisy had an affair, he failed to reveal that he also had a mistress named Myrtle. After a chain of events, Tom's mistress Myrtle was killed in Gatsby's car driven by Daisy. Enraged, Myrtle's husband finds Gatsby and kills him along with himself. So, what The message is in this story is that love is a blind and tragic thing, that most likely ends badly."
"Very good Miss Marano." the professor showed a small smile.
"Thanks." I sat down.
"You really think love ends badly?" Raini whispered.
"I know it does." I whispered back.
"Where's Ross?" she questioned glancing at my side.
"Probably hooking up with some slutty girl. Who cares?" I rolled my eyes and turned back to the lesson.
