"So...does he like you or not, cause you're kind of giving me mixed signals here." Ashley questioned, I called her over after Austin left and now she's sitting on my bed, in front of me, crushing my favorite blue teddy bear between her arms and boobs.
"Honestly, I don't know what to think myself. But he definitely wants to show me whatever secret place he has in the woods, so I guess I can find out then." I was playing with the ends of the ivory blanket sprawled across my lap. It was cotton and it had these little fluffly white balls at both ends. If you didn't notice I like the color white, a lot.
Basically my entire room is white, except my desk it's glass, but only because we couldn't find the exact same style in white, so I settled. My walls are white, the rug by my bed is white, my comforter is all white besides this blanket which is actually ivory. Even my bedside table and dresser are white, I'm also a very clean person so I keep my room crisp.
Ashley and I were sitting on my bed still talking about what happen just two hours ago. I was kind of getting sick of the conversation, "Can we not talk about this anymore, all I've been hearing about for the past week is Austin this, Austin that. Like, when did my life revolve around some boy?"
I sighed and slouched back onto my headboard, momentarily hating that I liked this boy. My life was not about to turn into a Taylor Swift song if I had anything to do with it!
"Okay...well, did you know that one of the bimbos likes Chase?!" She spat, nearly tearing poor Berry to pieces. Yes, I named my childhood teddybear Berry, as in blueberry.
I rolled my eyes, "Tell me something I don't know. The bitch Lizzie cornered me in lunch today, right before Austin asked me to meet him afterschool." I shivered replaying the event in my head, she seemed like some psychotic ex-girlfriend.
"What?! And you didn't tell me! What did she say to you?" Ashley had on her crazy eyes, and I know it's because Chase is involved in all of this.
"She just told me to back off Chase or whatever, I'd think she was his girlfriend if I didn't know any better." I continued fiddling with the cotton balls at the ends of the blanket, unfazed, totally opposite to Ashley's explosion.
"YOU?! WHAT?! SHE'S JEALOUS OF YOU AND CHASE! OH MY GOD THIS IS....this is awesome!" She literally catapulted off of the bed and flung Berry across the room in the process. She was now pacing from my dresser to my desk and back, rambling crazy talk. "You so have to use this as an advantage! She's threatened by you, so that means you have the upper hand, and if you stick with Austin you can get close to Chase and use him to bring that bitch down!" She finally stopped, heaving in and out from fast walking ten feet back and forth in my room and talking like a crazy person. I had never seen her so...diabolically driven in our four year friendship.
"Um....uh....first of all, I doubt she jealous of this," I gestured down to my slouching torso "and second, I am not using anyone for anything. Did you forget that I actually really, really like Austin? Yeah, the plan kind of called for manipulation, but that was for important liaisions. To get Austin. But now I'm not interested in being some promiscuous bimbo, who uses boys to get other boys or make girls jealous." I sighed. "Do you remember who you're talking to crazy pants?"
"I do sound crazy don't I?" She sighed, her adrenaline rush obviously over, and sat back down at the foot of the bed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to it's just the perfect oppurtunity, to strike back you know? Plain Jane goes exotic Natalie!" Her eyes lit up at the thought, and honestly my mind went over it also. It didn't sound so bad when she put it like that.
"Can we not talk about all of this, I really don't feel like revisiting the topic of Austin Clasin." I sighed. "Let's talk about what you're doing for your sixteenth birthday!"
