Televisions were switched on all over Panem as the anthem played and President Jericho Snow elegantly walked on the stage wearing a tuxedo. This would be the reading of the 8th quarter quell.He read the treaty of treason and told all the districts how they brought this upon themselves. Then he read the previous quarter quells. Each more horrifying then the last. A little boy in a white handed him a box full of quarter quell surprises for the next millennia. President Snow took out the paper neatly labelled "200". Then he read out the brutal twist for the 200th games:
" As a reminder of the obliteration of district 13, this year only 13 year olds will be reaped!"
" May the odds be ever in your favour!"
All across Panem 13 year olds and their families panicked as the other age groups celebrated.
