Lavender's p.o.v

I was home alone sitting in the kitchen, Alex left to go get food so I got out my music and played Hallelujah by Pentatonix my favorite song. I started to hum the first verse of the song. I love to sing, but I am too insecure to sing in front of people, but since no one was home I didn't care. I then started to sing the second verse with out a care in the world.

"Well your faith was strong but you needed proof"
"You saw her bathing on the roof"
"Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya"

"She tied you to her kitchen chair"
"And she broke your throne and she cut your hair"
"And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah"

"Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah"

"But baby I've been here before"
"I've seen this room and I've walked this floor"
"I used to live alone before I knew ya"

I was so into singing the song that I didn't notice the front door open.

Alex's p.o.v

I pulled into the drive way. I stopped the car then grabbed mine and Lavender's food and got out of my precious 1967 Chevy impala *wink wink* * cough cough*. I walked to the front door and opened it. As I walked inside I started to hear singing coming from the kitchen I looked in and saw Lavender singing hallelujah. I moved away from the door frame and leaned against the wall next to it so she wouldn't see me. I just sat there and listened to her sing. Her voice was so beautiful, it was loud and powerful yet it was soft and delicate. I could listen to it for hours.

"And I've seen your flag on the marble arch"
"And love is not a victory march"
"It's a cord and it's a broken..."

"Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah"

"Maybe there's a God above"
"But all I've ever learned from love"
"Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya"

"And it's not a cry that you hear at night"
"It's not somebody who's seen the light"
"It's a cord and it's a broken Hallelujah"

"Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah"

"Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah"

I got up off the wall then went outside. I waited a minute or two then walked back in inside to make her think I just got home and said "Lav, I'm home". She came out of the kitchen and gave me a kiss on the cheek like she did every time I came home no matter how long I was gone.

"You know you don't have to do that every time I come home," I said.

"I don't care I just want to show that I love you every chance I get," she said.

"I love you doll," I said.

"I love you too honeybun," Lav said.

"Ok that needs to stop right there, let's go eat," I said while laughing.

"Never and ok let's go" she replied.
