Warning: panic attack.

I got home around 3:30am I walk in careful not to make too much noise as to not wake up Lavender, and close the door. I take off my leather jacket and toss it on the couch carelessly. I then went in to the kitchen to get a small glass of milk and take my allergy meds "stupid seasonal allergies" I thought to myself. Then I quietly head to mine and Lav's room. The closer I got to the room the more I began to hear a noise but couldn't make anything out because it was muffled. I slowly pulled out my gun and carefully walked to the door. I raised my gun and opened the door to find Lavender on the floor crying and shaking.

"LAVENDER" I throw my gun on the bed and ran to her side. Her legs were pull to her chest with her arms around her legs tightly and her head was down between her chest and legs. Her breathing was uneven, she was shaking violently and crying. I started to panic a little but calmed down knowing it wouldn't help. "Lav you gotta look at me" I tell her in a calm quiet tone. She slowly was able to look at me I could tell it was hard for her. I hug her she rejected it at first then slowly stopped fighting it. " Sorry I didn't mean to scare you" I say. "Ai (love) you need to calm your breathing". " Breath in" I then counted to five on my finger so she could see. But, she wasn't able to. Which I knew she wouldn't be able to do the first time. " Breath out" I counted to seven this time and got the same out come."come on baby you got this deep breaths". I did this twelve more times but her breathing is still uneven and getting worse. I could tell it was because she wasn't able to even out her breathing and started panicking more so I hugged her tighter. "What do I do, fuck" I thought. "Um think". "I got it". I then started to sing one of our favorite songs.

I could tell she was starting to relax but only very slightly, so I rubbed her head and continued.

She started to relax and became less tense. She also started to come out of her little ball she was rolled up into. She looked at me and I just gave her a little loving smile.

When I finished her breathing was back to normal and she was completely relaxed. She looked really tired and drained.

"You feeling better ai" I asked as I stroke her head.

"Yeah, I am really tired now though, they take alot out of you " she replied.

"Here"I said.

I picked her up and walked over to the bed and put her under the blanket. I then climbed in bed with her and pulled her on top of me. She then instantly snuggled into my chest.

"You comfy there Lav?" all I got was a nod in reply.

"Your so cute, you know that?"I told her.

"No I'm not" came as a soft and quiet reply.

"Yes you are and you know it" I argued back.

She then gave my the cutest and most full of love smile ever that traveled all the way to her eyes and said " I do only cause you tell me alllllllll the time honey bunch".

I shake my head at the nickname "Now in all seriousness what triggered your panic attack?" I asked.

Her smile faltered a little bit and she sighed a bit.

"I was just thinking" she said.

"What were you thinking about watashi no ai (my love)".

"I was thinking about what if you didn't come back from a mission".

"Baby I-" I was cut off by her.

"As I was thinking about it my anxiety kicked in and I started thinking about it more and more and it was getting worse and worse and I started to hyperventilate and then it triggered my panic attack" she said and started to breath fast again.

"Hey, hey breath relax your ok" I said in a soothing voice hugging her tight.

"I can't promise that I will always come back but I can and I will promise I will try my hardest and fight to always come back. Just know that if I don't come back I'm either working on getting to you or I'm a spirit standing right next to you and protecting you" I kissed her forehead.

"Thank you Alexandria Hunter, I love you so much and as long as you try I'm ok with it" She told me.

"I Love you so much Lavender Valice, I will always be here for you weather it be in person or as a ghost" I then pulled her into a long tender loving kiss.
