Warning: Bullying

Today was May 19th, a very quite and shy boy named Dember's birthday. Today he turned 17 apparently today he also finds a soulmate.

"Remember honey today is your big day! I can't wait for you to finally find your soulmate!" Dember's mother, Diana, exclaimed. She was very excited about her son finding love, not caring that it's his birthday. Same old mother, not caring about my feelings, thought Dember. "Yes mother," He says, "I'll be heading out now." Then not even caring about his mother replying he left on his long, tiring journey to his school. And on the way he just so happens to bump into Phantom, the schools most popular boy and the leader of bullies. He has deep purple and black dyed hair, mysterious black eyes, and wears the schools uniform, a black blazer with red buttons and black sleeves that includes red dyed and ripped ends. To go with the blazer he wears brown colored sweat pants.

"Watch it freak." he told Dember. All of a sudden Dember's heart started to ache. Not physically but emotionally. What are these feeling? What are they here, Dember starts questioning. Instead of staying there to listen to Phantom's hate for him, he ran. He ran all the way to the school, not looking back. "I'm here," he panted. Dember being a good student walked over to his locker and got his drawing notebook because in his homeroom he usually drew. After getting the notebook he went to room 209, Mr. Brett's class. As if on que as soon as Dember had his foot in the classroom the bell rang. Of course he knew people would be rushing so he quickly speed walked to his seat.

Soon everyone started to rush in the classroom trying to get to they're seats. Mr. Brett started to teacher the lesson when the infamous Phantom Lockhart entered the classroom.  "Mr. Lockhart you are late," Mr. Brett said. Phantom just ignored him and sat down and his seat behind Dember Miles, his biggest victim. Dember tried to ignore him with all his might but he seemed to keep drifting back to Phantom. Dember opened his notebook work on a drawing of a wilted, dying flower. His mother always said it resembles his soul in a way. How he was so lonely and sad, but,  trying to hang on to his happiness, his life. At 9:27 the lesson had ended giving everyone at least 3 minutes to pack up and talk with they're friends. Dember unfortunately didn't have friends so he just sat in the back, questioning his purpose in life, his existence. "Hey freak," called Phantom. Dember turned around hurt and afraid. "Yes," he replied. Phantom just punched him. When Dember fell out of his chair to the ground Phantom kicked him. Soon Phantom's friends Max and Andie joined him in the domestic violence. Everyone crowded around, watching.

Mr. Brett did not have any care. He just pretend he didn't see it. When Phantom finally stopped he felt pain. Lots of it too. Why am I in pain. I didn't fall or anything. And it couldn't be my soulmate. Phantom decided to ignore it. As usual. You see Phantom too had been educated about soulmates by his mom. And his 17th birthday was March 22nd. Yeah that day went basically the same as any other. He got to the bus stop, hurt the little freak Dember and skipped at least 5 classes. But then again that day he accidentally bumped into the little "weirdo" when he was on his way to the bus stop. But, he doesn't remember that of course. Then during lunch he also bumped into this really popular girl named um... Cynthia I think. Look narrator can forget things too!

Anyway moving on he thinks that's his soulmate and he thinks the pain is just growing pains. He also doesn't know it's Dember's 17th birthday today and he's the person he bumped into today. Heh no one knows it's Dember's birthday today. Everyone knew at one point but when they hit high school everyone's lives took a turn and they all needed someone to talk it out on. Dember seemed like the weakest out of the bunch and no one knew about his issues.

Dember slowly, but surely made his way to the nurse. Hoping they won't take him to the hospital. "M...miss Ka..yla," Dember whispered but, Miss. Kayla heard it anyway.  "Dember! What happened?!" Miss. K asked already calling an ambulance. Dember replied with, "T..he usual." Miss. K nodded her head and rushed him to the front of the school as soon as she got off the phone. "I'm fine really," Dember tried to say but it came out as a whisper.

Miss. K just ignored him and got him to the ambulance anyway. She asked for it to be at the police station, just two driveways away from the school so it won't cause a scene. After 7 minutes that felt like an eternity they made it to the ambulance.

"I'm sorry Mr. Mile's but your going to have to stay here for the rest of the week."
