"Sadie and I are moving out," Sophia informed as she nervously twiddled her thumbs.

"What?!" Finn shouted shocked, his chest heaved in panic as he desperately tried to drive off the pending panic attack.

Sophia sighed, "we're moving to New York for a while, a year at least..."

"But-,"

"Who's going to watch Richie?" Sophia interrupted, her tone border-lining bitter and cold. Finn's silence gave the beta her answer. "Finn, Richie's almost six months and you've never even held him once."

"I have better things to do," Finn dismisses his tongue curling around the sour words.

"Work is better than your son?" Finn let an alpha growl rip through his chest, but it didn't frighten Sophia. "He's not just her pup, Finn."

"You don't think I know that?!" Finn spat, as he whipped his head up to look at her in shock.

"I think you sometimes forget," Sophia admitted. Finn ignored her once again, he instead opted to stare bitterly at the wooden table they gathered around.

Sophia sighed and bent down into her purse to retrieve a piece of paper. Her skinny finger gently pried it apart and slid it towards the angered alpha. On the paper was a brightly looking omega, his curly brown hair stuck out in oddly yet adorable places and his huge heart melting smile made his dimples and freckles stand out like night and day, even though he would never admit it out loud even Finn thought he was pretty. "His names Jack."

"How old is he?" Finn asked carefully gripping the paper to observe the picture closely.

"Twenty-two."

Finn grunted angrily at the answer, "if this is another one of your damn hookup attempts-,"

"Its not." Sophia interrupted. "He's a nice guy, Finn."

"You've already met him?" Finn asked, annoyance still swirling in his chest.

"Yes, Sadie and I did and he seems like the perfect fit. Maybe even more so than I ever was."

"Don't say that, Soph," Finn commanded.

"He loves pups and he'll love Richie. I already explained the situation to him so he won't ask where she is. He also comes from a difficult situation himself so..." Sophia trailed off.

"He knows it's a full time job?"

"Yes, and he knows he'll live in the basement."

Finn snorted, he was upset Sophia was right, Jack looked like the perfect fit. "When does he start?"

Sophia beamed happily, "He'll start tomorrow!"

"Fine. But if he gets in my way or gets nosy at all, he's out," Finn huffed.

"Okay!" Sophia cheered.

Richie gurgled loudly from the other room demanding to be picked up. Finn's head whipped to the noise but he made no move to get the gurgling pup. Sophia's face fell at the sight of Finn's longing gaze. "Why don't you go pick him up?"

"I have work." Finn dismissed bitterly, stalking back towards his office. Sophia sighed sadly before turning on her heels and picking Richie up gently.

The pup looked so much like Finn it almost frightened her, the only difference was his curls were looser than Finn's. Otherwise, they were practically twins. Their noses were buttoned and their eyes were a deep shade of chocolate, their freckles danced calmly across their cheeks and their lips were a pretty plump pink. Sophia could even tell that their true personalities are the same; they're both laid back and funny with a dash of ADHD and ADD to spice them up. Richie and Finn were the same no matter how much Finn wanted to deny it.
