Scenario:
(Set in more medieval times)
You are the only child of the King. Your mother died when you were very little. All your life the only people you ever got close to was your father and your bodyguard (who has been with you since you can remember). This was all because your father was strict, overly protective, and never let you out of the palace or palace yard. He never let you learn how to use a bow, much less a sword or any other weapon for that matter, and always kept you away from the knights.
The King was a nice man, surely, but avoided war at all costs. This caused his downfall as some were not happy with the way he was ruling.
One night, you heard a ruckus from next door, stirring you from your sleep. You lazily got up and walked to your door. Lightly tugging it open, you peered down the hallway. The door to your father's room was open, you could see that even in the soft, moon-lit darkness.
You headed quietly to the King's door and peeked inside, gasping quietly at the sight.
Inside, a high-ranking lord was standing over a bleeding corpse.
Your father.
The lord heard you and turned towards the door. "Get the prince/princess. They must not get away." he ordered to two men inside the room.
You stumbled back, astonished, then began to flee, running down the hallway as fast as your legs could take you.
The men gave chase, swords clenched tightly in their hands, as they had full intention of killing you.
You managed to keep a fair distance from them, but they were slowly gaining.
Turning around the corner, casting a look over your shoulder, you felt hands grab you and yank you into a small, hallway closet. The door closed quickly, cutting off your light as you were pulled out of your desperate fleeing.
