Yoongi walked slowly toward the bar, his eyes never leaving hers. Her back was pressed against the far end, her chest raising and falling quickly with each breath she took as he approached her. When he reached the bar he stood against it, leaning in toward her and pressing his hands against the wood, a pleading look in his eyes. Taehyung glanced between them but kept to himself, watching out of the corner of his eye as he mixed drinks.

"I played your song," he said, his low voice carrying to her. His dark eyes were sad, his black hair falling across his forehead and his silky ears drooping slightly. "Did you like it?"

"Our song," she corrected in a whisper. His ears quirked, and she knew he was only able to hear because of his hybrid senses. A soft smile spread over his lips, reaching his eyes as his body relaxed slightly.

"Our song," he agreed, nodding to her before turning away from the bar, heading back to take a bathroom break before returning to the piano.

"What does that mean, y/n?" Taehyung asked quietly once he had left. She shrugged, coming over to help him out.

"I'm not sure. Something good, I hope," she said, smiling slightly.

You shuffled slowly out of the bar that night, feeling down. When you got outside Yoongi was leaning against the wall, his long black tail swishing behind him as he waited for you with his hands shoved into his pockets. He shoved off the wall to walk next to you when you came out. You didn't reach for his hand, afraid he wouldn't accept it and the two of you walked side by side in silence to the train station. When you reached it you glanced at him, continuing toward the entrance.

"Goodnight," you said softly to him over your shoulder.

But he reached out and grasped your wrist, his long fingers wrapping around it and holding you still. You turned back, looking at him. His eyes were downcast and his ears were drooping low.

"I didn't mean 'no' because...I just...I don't know what-" but you cut him off, pulling your wrist out of his grasp gently and shaking your head as you stepped toward the train station.

"I get it Yoon. I'm not upset. I'll just wait until you figure it out," you said in a sad voice, offering him a little wave and turning away.

The next day he was waiting for you there at the train station. He was wearing a hoodie, with his ears tucked beneath it and his tail hidden away as well.

"Hey," he said softly as you approached him.

"Hey Yoongs," you replied, offering him a smile. He returned it slightly and the two of you headed toward the bar. You walked close to him, but you didn't reach for his hand. If he needed time to figure out how he felt you were going to let him come to you and not push yourself on him. You had thought about it a lot and you wanted him to choose you, you wanted to be sure you were someone he wanted.

He didn't reach for your hand either though, he just walked quietly next to you all the way to work. When you reached the bar he accepted his whiskey with a nod and took it with him as he headed over to the piano. Later he played a piece you hadn't heard before, something more modern than your usual taste but you liked it, and when he approached the bar afterward you poured him a good whiskey. He sipped it and leaned his elbows against the bar, flexing his hands and yawning.

A man sat down at the bar near Yoongi and called out to you. "Hey there gorgeous, can I get a Jack and Coke?" He asked, looking you up and down. You smiled at him over your shoulder, assuming your usual flirty bartender demeanor - the best way to get good tips from this kind of customer. You poured his drink and set it in front of him, leaning against the bar before him with a smile and a tilt of your head.
