A few weeks later on a lazy afternoon when they were both off, Yoongi was relaxing on her bed, scrolling through his phone while she plunked quietly on the piano, working on something new, making notes in her music book as she played. He felt completely content here with her and he sighed happily, tossing his phone onto the bed and turning onto his side to watch her. Her back was to him as she sat on the piano bench, hunched over the keys a bit, a pencil stuck between her teeth as she played a couple chords before snatching the pencil back out and scribbling the notation down quickly. Her hair hung in waves down her back - it was now a mixture of blue and purple, he had helped her recolor it a few days before and he loved the way the light played off it as the sun shone in through her open curtains.
He wanted to go to her, to take her in his arms and kiss her, to make her smile, to hear the musical sound of her laugh - but he didn't want to interrupt her train of thought as she composed, so he settled for simply watching her, the irregular keystrokes soothing him as he drifted to sleep in a sunbeam curled up on top of her covers with his tail tucked around him comfortably.
A couple hours later Yoongi stirred as he heard the kettle whistling in the apartment. He stretched languidly, flicking his tail and sitting up cross legged on her bed. She glanced over at him when she heard him stir and smiled.
"Tea?" She asked and he nodded as she made two cups and walked over to stand next to the bed and scratch his ears as they sipped their tea.
"How is the piece coming? It sounded good," he said softly, purring beneath her fingertips. She shrugged.
"Wanna play what I have so far?"
"Definitely," he said, climbing out of bed and heading to the piano. He set his tea down on top and flipped to the beginning of the piece. There were only a couple of pages, but he sight read it quickly, starting over once he had run through it once and playing it again, more carefully. He knew her so well that there were moments where he knew what she had meant to write but he played what was written anyway, purposefully so that she would catch it. She leaned over his shoulder as he played, making little changes here and there until it sounded right. The piece was beautiful, the melody curling around on itself over a darkly beautiful chord structure. Yoongi couldn't wait to play it when it was finished.
"It's a start," she said when he was done. He turned around on the bench, facing her and leaned back to look up at her.
"It's a really pretty piece."
"Do you mean that, or are you just saying it cause you like me?" She asked, raising her eyebrow at him.
"You know I don't do that babe - I hated that one you were doing last month, and I told you remember?"
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, okay."
"I mean it," he said, tugging her down to sit on his lap. "I really like it - it might be my favorite thing you've written," he said, nuzzling his face into her neck.
"It's for you," she mumbled quietly and he pulled back, looking up at her.
"What? Really?"
She was blushing and looking at her lap. "I wasn't gonna tell you, but...yeah. It's for you." For some reason it made him wildly happy that she had written something just for him. He tugged her face to his and kissed her, slowly at first, brushing her lips with his, holding her face delicately in his large hands. He gradually deepened the kiss and she parted her lips for him, letting him slip his tongue into her mouth. She let out a tiny moan as he did so and he purred at the sound, standing up quickly with her in his arms and carrying her over to the bed. He set her on it as he continued to kiss her and he slowly pushed her back, crawling onto her as she lay in the middle of the bed. He let his hips rest against hers as he trailed his lips down to her neck, licking and sucking at her delicious skin. A series of moans and whimpers escaped her lips as he did so, making him want to never stop kissing her, not if she was enjoying it this much.
