"Breakfast is ready!" Italy knocks on the door to her daughter's bedroom, she's awake but hasn't come out of there yet.
Germany takes a bite of his toast as he reads the news on his phone. They're terribly depressing. Italy takes a seat on the table, across from her husband, and sighs, taking a sip from her coffee. "Maybe we could talk about it now?" She asks, looking at Germany's eyes as they move over the words he reads.
He looks up to her as they are interrupted by the sound of a door opening when European Union walks in, stretching her arms. "Good morning, dad! Good morning, mom!" She kisses both adults on the cheeks, takes a seat and grabs a plate of toasts and waffles as the room falls quiet once more.
Italy's eyes find Germany's, which are filled with disappointment and a glint of sadness. They continue eating their breakfast in silence, deep in their own thoughts.
