Cel didn't want to wake up, he knew it was the morning after the reset. He didn't want to wake up only to find the other side of the bed empty and he was back to being her boyfriend.
He didn't want to be boyfriend... he wanted to be her husband.
He didn't want to go around and act as if he never proposed, as if the wedding never happened, as if they hadn't exchanged vows.
His mind was racing on and on about how he didn't want to go back in time like nothing happened and keep up that stupid mask. It didn't stop until he felt the gentle touch on his cheek and heard a breathy laugh escape the person next to him.
Celestiel opened his eyes and was met by the face of his lover and he smiled back at her, his hope growing but he refrained from saying anything about it.
"Good morning, mea vita" he hummed in his husky morning voice and kissed her hand.
"Good morning, dear" Evelyn smiled back at him, taking his hand on hers. "You didn't take them off" she giggled as she gentle touched the ring on his finger.
A wave of relief and happiness washed over him and a grin was plastered on his face.
"Why would I?" He chuckled, suddenly noticing that she was wearing his shirt. "Why shouldn't I wear the reminder of how lucky I am to be married to my beautiful wife?~" he leaned over her and moved his hands over her chest with the thin layer of his shirt keeping him from touching her warm skin.
She let out a small laugh. "It's cute" she smiled and brushed her hand over his cheek.
"I love you" he leaned his forehead against hers and looked into her eyes, his own filled with warmth and love for her.
"I love you too" she smiled back at him, leaning up to peck his lips softly, his relief remaining in his body.
Hopefully she would never forget, hopefully she would be his till death do them part.
