The night sky was ripped apart by the violent white flash of energy tearing its way through the heavy swollen purple clouds that were rolling across the lake. The air was thick with the smell of rain which had yet to fall. The predators of the night where trying to desperately feed before the storm broke and they had to flee from the weather.  Fish and frogs were feasting on numerous flying bugs that were hovering close to the water's surface.  A very fat brown frog leaped to the end of a partially submerged log, chasing a particularly juicy-looking bug, not knowing that he caught the attention of another predator who was intending to make him its dinner.

The snake slowly slithered closer.  A silent killer who worked stealthy to get into the perfect striking distance. It's victim never having a clue about how his life is going to end.  It was one of God's perfect killing machines, and it was closing in on the blissfully clueless frog. It was in striking distance when the stillness was broken by the waves in the water moving the log, causing the frog to jump into the lake escaping its own death.

A new kind of predator had come to the lake. Not an animal that was native to the area, but one that likes to come and leave its prey for others to find and witness. He likes to create a scene with his unfortunate playthings, in the hopes to shock and sicken the poor fools who stumbled upon his prizes.  Taking his time he laid the woman, not much more than a girl really, out on the bank of the lake somewhat in the water but with one naked leg thrown carelessly across the same log that the frog was just on.

He stood up and placed his hand to his chin tilting his head judging the placement like as if it was piece of art, then he would lean down and move an arm or adjust the head. He like the look of her eyes, they still held the horror that he caused while she was still alive. Now that look of terror is forever frozen on her face.  Bending once more to fix the top that was torn and cut in so many places that it wasn't even much of a shirt anymore, he ran his finger over the final knife strike. The one right over her cold dead heart.

"You had fun didn't you!" It was more of a statement than a question. He continued in his low oily voice   " I do wish I could have played longer. But that was your fault too. You just got me too excited. Didn't you bitch"

He stroked her cut and bruised face "You just had to scream didn't you. I told you not to. But you did."  sighing "I do like it when  Y'all scream. "  Adjusting her hair one last time he stood and gazed out over the lake watching as the rain finally broke free and fell to the earth in a sheet of fury.

He stood getting drenched, lost in his own thoughts when something disturbed him. His back straightening and he slowly turned around to look directly into your eyes.  A demented look crawled across his thin features pulling his muscles rippling back into a smile. His small beady eyes lit up with delight. Giving him a look of a hawk.  Tilting his head back he sniffed the night air trying to catch the scent of his prey.

His deep voice rang out across the night "Here kitty, kitty"

You shutter at the malice in that voice, and you turn around to flee. Your heart starts beating madly when you hear the crashing sounds of his pursuit gaining on you. Kicking your legs into overdrive you speed up as fast as you can go.  Full out like this, you know you will fade fast but you press your self for more speed. You have hope in your heart that you will escape when you feel a hand come crashing down on your shoulder.

Jeon Yoonin awoke with a start.   What was that? Who's here? It was pitch black in the room making it hard to see anything at all, which only increased her panic.  Trying to hold her body completely still, she only used her eyes and ears to locate the threat that had awoken her in a total panic in the darkness.  Her senses where working on overdrive as the need to run filled her body. The need to hide was so palpable that her body was twitching like a live wire, making it hard to breathe. She could feel the cold hands of fear closing around her throat, cutting off the air-supply she so desperately needed. Fighting to control her breathing as she listens hard for any sound, while her eyes frantically scanned the room. Finding nothing to be afraid of,  she slowly started to calm down, and her heart rate started to steady with the deep breathes she was taking, but she kept her eyes roaming the area just in case there was a sign of danger. Soon realizing that it was just another nightmare, No one was out to get her.
