Nova's POV
I sat down on the small bench around the corner from the Renegade HQ. I'm always so afraid that someone was going to find out about me being Nightmare or an Anarchist or the neice of Ace Anarchy. This fear was stopping me making decisions. Important ones. Like, maybe, wether I was going to go out with Adrian or not. He had asked me out a couple of days ago and I said i'd think about it. The truth is, I like him. A lot. But he's also the adopted son of Captain Cronium and the Dread Warden, and I'm the most wanted criminal in the city. But he was really nice. And good looking. And... I sighed, annoyed by the direction of my thoughts.
"Come on, Nova," I whispered to myself. "Pull yourself together."
I got up and walked around the corner to Renegade HQ. Little did I know, someone was staring around the corner waiting for me. I crashed into Adrian, knocking us both to the ground.
"Um...hi," Adrian grinned.
I could feel my cheeks burning red and I hopped to my feet, pulling him up with me.
"Hi," I mumbled, staring at the ground.
Adrian grinned again and pulled me into the foyer of HQ.
"Come on," he said. "Danna's back."
