Heya guys. yeah, I know, it's not the best chapter name but I have major writers block right now, sooooo... enjoy!

Nova's POV

Dana.

I had mixed feelings towards her. On one hand, she had been a very good friend to me in the Renegades HQ; on the other hand, when I was Nightmare, Dana despised me and I had no problem returning the hatred. Adrian took my hand, leading me into the training cavern. Dana was standing with Ruby and Oscar, chatting about something. I gulped. Every time I saw my teammates together, it made me feel guilty for betraying them when they were just a bunch of teenagers trying to help. A bunch of particularly resourceful teenagers who were the enemy. The enemy, I reminded herself. I can't trust them. I won't trust them. But no matter how many times I chanted the words to myself, there was still a small, tiny voice whispering in the back of my head, saying, But you do trust them.

I shook my head, trying to still my swirling thoughts. Adrian smiled at me and tugged me towards the others.

"Come on. Dana'll need to the new Head of Survaillance on the team." He grinned jokingly down at me, his grin widening enough to reveal his dimples. My legs felt weak. How could Adrian still be so kind, so trusting, so...

"Hey guys," Dana interupted. "Good to see you. Nova - I mean Insomnia - how are you feeling? You did manage to kill the Detonator and come out of the fight mostly unscathed."

Everyone looked at her expectantly and I found myself telling the truth.

"I honestly don't know. Mostly i'm relieved that she was stopped before she could hurt anyone else."

Danna nodded, satisfied with my answer.

"Well, i've got some juicy news," said Oscar conspiratorially. "There's going to be a ball on the eleventh to celebrate the thirty-first anniversary of the Renegades, and get this. It's only for the top ten teams, and we're invited!"

"Oh my god, yes!" Ruby shrieked, jumping up and down.

"Please tell me you're not playing a joke on us," Dana said.

Adrian was beaming.

"We're one of the top ten teams? You're kidding!" I squealed. "That is literally a dream come true." I paused. "Well, and metaphorically."

"So true, Insomnia," Oscar teased, elbowing me.

I scowled and shoved his arm away. In truth, I almost had two abilities. My first one, the most well known one, was the ability of me never, ever, sleeping, hence the name Insomnia. The second, less well known one was Nightmare's ability to put people to sleep with a touch.

"So, who else is going to be there?" Adrian asked.

"I don't know all of them, but there's the council, obviously, Frostbites team, Magpie's team, our team and this random new team. They call themselves the Seventeen, because... well, because there's seventeen of them."

My head spun. I started hyperventilating. I knew that team. That was a team of child rebels from the age of anarchy. They had helped me on a few missions before I became a double agent. What were they doing here?

Only one possibility came to me.

They were double agents too
