The Walk of a Connection

Early in the morning the next day chase wakes up and chara is sitting next to him smoking a cigarette*

Chara: this may seem odd but befor i turn in criminals if like to get to know them atleast, helps me know weather i should turn them in or not, this bounty is only asking for the stolen goods but your just a bonus, so get to talking if you wana stay free

Chase seems shocked and frozen* u-uh... well...m-my name is chase... iv been stealing from small stores and such... i dont.. have a job.. obviously... nor do i have a home... so i do what i can to live... *he leans back* i know it sounds cleshay and stuff but what do you expect me to say, im after some magic dimond to save the world? Please, last thing i need is to seem like im in some adventure story...

Chara: then tell me, what drove you here

Chase:... uuh... well... im... im a run away... i could t stand my home... im not going to get too in to it but all i can say everyday it was nothing but training... my skills at home were never good enough... there was always "room for improvement" never had time to myself... from 6am till 10pm it was nothing but training... i had 20 minut breaks between every 4 hours to eat or drink something... my family participated in the worldly fighting season, think of it as boxing or wrestling but... its u till you completely obliterate the oponant to were they can mever fight again...

Chara: have you ever faught?

Chase:... mhm..

Chara: did you ever win?

Chase: the fact im still here talking, walking, and running... that should answer your question...

Chara: how many did you fight?

Chase:... i... i lost count at 60..

Chara:... dear god... wait... if you could have done all that... how come your not breaking out of those ties?..

Chase:... its been the first time in years... that someone has actually had a conversation with me... i missed this... befor... i had a group... there names were zoey... and klide... they were my best friends... some people that ran away with me from my home... we would go after 3-4 star bountys... used to atleast..

Chara: used to?... what made you guys stop?

Chase sits up and holds out his leg*... bad luck on a job.... bound to happen..

Chara takes a closer look and he can see its a prostetic leg with realistic skin and silicone to replicate the leg and fur* im so sorry... were the hell did you go?..

Chase:... "the damon forest" (yes it's actually spelt and pronounced like that) that place was hell on earth... but i was so cocky i dint even think... one of them got my leg... befor it could tear me apart... klide tackled it... it took my leg... but then riped klide apart limb from limb... i passed out from blood loss while zoey tried evacuation me as i tried to get klide back... i knew he was gone... but i couldnt help trying to save him... i wake uo in the hospital after being in a coma for 11 months... zoey was gone... i tried contacing her... she never answerd... looked around... klides grave was infront of the hall of fame... he saved me... when i was supost to die insted... he.... he was always a dumbass... but i couldnt help but love the guy... he was my best friend... and after that day... i was all alone... i found zoey 4 months later working as a scientist and docter... i tried talking to her but she shut me out... couldnt bare the sight of me in the state i was in... i tried going back to doing bountys but... it didnt feel the same... i couldnt move like i used to... i lost my motivation... i was nothing after that... and here i am now..

Chara sits there in awe processing what he had told him*.... *the wagon stops and he grabs his rope and picks him up*.... *he cuts them open*... guess your a free man... and my wagon is open to you if you need anything

Chase stares at him and suddenly hugs him*... thank you! *he runs away after giving chara a big hug*

Chara: heh... good kid.... HEY WAIT WERS MY WALLET!

chase laughs as he runs in to town*
