the sky was painted a light shade of pink and blue, with faint morning stars sprinkled amongst the clouds, all disoriented in the swirls of colours, it was the start of a new day with a beautiful sky for mingyu to indulge himself in. more specifically, today was the day where he would ditch school for a four day long holiday in some part of seoul that he didn't know of, with twelve other boys in his school, many of which he didn't even know existed till a few hours ago.

the tall hazel haired leaned back, his thin uniform pressing against the rough bumps and chips of a tree near the field. he glances at his watch as the minute hand hits six forty-two, exactly eighteen minutes till the other boys were considered late. mingyu sighs. "knew i shouldn't have woken up fifteen minutes earlier today. i feel so pathetic waiting alone here."

just then, mingyu squints as a tall figure could be seem walking towards him from a distance. mingyu squints even more and he secretly let out a silent sigh of relief as another teen with dark black hair and thin round spectacles started walking towards him, a blue bag hanging lazily over his left shoulder.

mingyu wanted to introduce himself, however he didn't know if the guy walking towards him was one of the boys that he had met on the group chat, because as he clearly remembered, no one wore spectacles in their photos. mingyu silently watches as the dark haired teen sits down on the bench next to the tree that mingyu was leaning on. mingyu raised his eyebrow in curiosity as the dark haired boy didn't even glance at him. guess he isn't from the group chat then... mingyu thought to himself before and turning back to his phone, which already had a blank screen from mingyu's zero attention to the game he was playing a few minutes ago.

from the corner of mingyu's eye, his peripheral vision observed as the guy sitting on the bench whipped out his phone from his bag. he wasn't doing anything interesting except for texting someone. just then, mingyu's phone vibrated and he picked it up. someone from the group chat had logged on and sent a text.
