Andraste's POV

The battle ended. I looked away while Kaas shoved his blade into Kiyoko. I sighed.
What kind of God was that?
Tivona makes her way towards me and pulls me aside, taking my arm in her strong grip.
"What was that?" She whispered to me gently.
"I don't know," I whispered back. "Some strange God that cussed at me. But I guess I was being a little selfish." I nervously laughed and rubbed the back of my head.
Hinata sprinted up to me and jumped up and down as Tivona released my arm.
"Andraste, who was that? Was that your God? She was so cool!" He said excitedly.
I smile brightly, sharing the excitement, and shrug, "I don't even know! A God came to me without me worshipping them...this is not very common." I see the rest of the party cross over to Tivona, Hinata, and I after congratulating Kaas.
"A little God influence can go a long way, huh?" Kaas snorted. "I still cannot believe you tried to wish for that. Seriously, Andraste? A deer?"
I expected him to be more mad than he was, but he laughed slightly afterwards.
"That's our Andraste," Amberle chuckled and put a hand on my shoulder. "There's no replacing this one."
I laugh with embarrassment as she takes her hand slowly off of my shoulder.
"Well, onto the elephant in the room," Llyr chimes in, "what in the hell was that thing?"
I blush slightly, "I actually don't know. Divine intervention?" I giggle nervously, trying to smooth over the situation. It doesn't work.
"You don't know? What were you going to do if you needed divine intervention? Something terrible?" Tordik says, slightly angry, but more worried than anything.
"No-" I start, but Newlyn interrupts me.
"How could you think that? Andraste is the most kind person in this group!" He defends me, looking at Tordik with his eyes slightly narrowed.
"No it's ok-" I start, but again get interrupted by a defensive Tordik.
"Listen, I'm just trying to make sure the group is safe." Tordik calmly explains.
"No, really-" I start, but get interrupted, again.
"It's also Andraste's job to keep everyone safe, so she would tell us if something's wrong." Newlyn states.
"I know, but-" Tordik starts.
"LET HER TALK." Amberle raises her voice and Tordik stops mid-sentence. Newlyn stays quiet.
"As I was saying," I laugh lightheartedly. I don't know why everyone is so worried about this.
Perhaps they're just scared.
"The God that came to talk to me, I've never seen before." I start, "I think the Goddess that came down was just informing me not to turn Kiyoko into a deer with the divine seed. Maybe it wasn't a very good decision on my part, but I'm glad I received some guidance from the divine being." I say slowly. "I do not think it is a cause of concern."
"For what it's worth, I don't either," Tivona says. I look at her in thanks.
"I agree with Andraste." Kaas nods.
"Well, I agreed with her from the beginning." Newlyn mumbles, smiling.
"Me too!" Hinata exclaims.
"I'm glad everyone's worries are now healed," I smile. "Shall we celebrate the fall of Kiyoko?"
"I'm all for that," Tordik says.
"I'm all for that," mimics Burble as they look at Tordik with a challenging smirk.
    "Drinking competition?" Tordik asks.
    "Drinking competition!" Burble exclaims.
"I'm glad everyone is in agreement," Santi brings out his kazoo, looking at Hinata. "Shall we play a victory song while we head to the bar?"
"Yes!" Hinata jumps and runs quickly to Santi, and starts playing on his own kazoo.
"Ugh," Kaas sighs as they start playing.
"Let's go before this drives us insane." Tordik says to Kaas.
"Agreed." Kaas states, then starts towards the nearest town. Everyone follows.

-

As the party nears the town, Tordik makes his way to the back of the party, where I'm standing, in the middle-back. He seems to have stopped a conversation with Kaas.
"Hey, Andraste," Tordik starts. I look at him with confusion. He looks troubled.
"I thought you didn't like Hinata and Santi's songs," I whisper, careful not to let Hinata hear.
He smiles a bit. "Yeah, it's a little annoying," he says. I had a feeling it was a little more annoying to him than he was letting up.
Oh well, his opinion is his opinion.
I certainly wasn't going to stop Hinata from having fun, and if anyone tried, I'd be the first one to defend him. Well, maybe Santi too. And Newlyn.
A few moments of silence went by while Santi and Hinata kept playing.
Why is he back here with me? I'm confused.
Apparently, my confusion was showing on my face. Tordik looked up at me and cleared his throat.
"I'm sorry I doubted you," he mumbled.
"About Hinata's playing? I told you he was good!" I whispered excitedly.
"No!" He chuckled, then made a serious face. "About the God coming down. I shouldn't have doubted your insight."
"Ohh..." I realized what he was talking about. "That's quite alright! I'm sure anyone would be scared at a time like that. Especially since you weren't as near as Kaas or Santi. Although...Kaas was definitely closer than Santi." I giggled.
"Ah, I guess I should've realized sooner," Tordik rubs the back of his head.
"Don't worry about it!" I say with a smile.
"Alright," He says gruffly. "Thanks Andraste." He walks back to the front to Kaas, and they start talking again.
We eventually make our way into the town. Hinata and Santi stop playing to look around at everything.
"First stop- the tavern! Come, Hinata, let's go show them our talent!" Santi says with enthusiasm.
"Yeah!" Hinata says with just as much enthusiasm. They both start marching over there.
"I'll go with them," Newlyn says as he follows Santi and Hinata.
"Well, I guess we won't stop there yet," Kaas says to Tordik.
"What about a weapon shop?" Tordik suggests.
"Oooh, I'm interested in that." Amberle says. "Mind if I come?"
"Not at all," Kaas says. "The more the merrier. As long as it's not the peanut gallery."
"Hey..." Tivona says to Kaas with a glare.
"Am I wrong?" He says.
"Yes!" Tivona insists.
"What's a peanut gallery?" I ask. "It sounds interesting...is there peanut-themed food? Or art?" I start thinking about peanuts and what delicious things you could make with them...
"Nothing to worry about, Andraste," Kaas says. "It's just a saying."
"Oh alright." That's kind of a bummer.
"Weapon shop!" Burble mimics Tordik's earlier statement.
"Alright, let's go." Kaas walks away with Tordik, Amberle, and Burble.
I look around to see who's still with me. Tivona and Llyr. I've briefly spoken to Llyr before, but we've never actually talked. Maybe this is a good bonding moment. Tivona and I, however, are good friends. Llyr is a bit of an introvert...I know one when I see one. How can Tivona and I bring him out of his shell?
Llyr clears his throat, obviously a bit worried.
"So, Tivona and Llyr..." I start, "have any ideas on what we should do?"
"Shall we just look around the town?" Tivona suggests.
"Actually, I need to get something for someone..." Llyr says, but then trails off.
"Ah! So shall we accompany you?" I ask.
"If you wish." Llyr says, "I wouldn't even know where to begin. Maybe we can explore a bit."
Tivona's eyes glistened a little at the word 'explore'. I giggled a little. Even though she was very formal with everyone, there is even times where she's adorable.
Llyr nods at us, then starts walking in a direction. Tivona and I follow, looking at the houses.
"Ah, a tinker's shop!" Tivona speaks softly after roaming awhile.
Llyr and I look in the direction of Tivona's eyes. The tinker's shop is a little shop, but has some nice...things, for lack of a better word, in the display of the shop.
"That's perfect..." Llyr says, heading inside. Tivona and I look at each other, shrug, then follow Llyr inside.
Just who is this gift for?
The shop is semi-dark, save for the places where the items are displayed. It is quite dusty, but the items are very clean. It is an open shop, with displays lining the walls. The merchant's desk was in the back corner. As we walked closer, he greeted us.
"Hello!" He said with a jolt from looking at his desk.
The shopkeeper was wearing a hood over his face, so I could not make out the details, except for his mouth. Although the shop was semi-lit, Tivona and I could see perfectly with our dark vision. I take a look around. There's small knives, jewels (big and small), jewelry, and general knick-knacks of all kinds.
Strange...
"I like your style," Llyr says to the shopkeep.
The merchant nods and laughs, "A fellow hood wearer, I see. What are you hiding?"
    Llyr straightens up in shock.
"I'm just kidding, of course." The merchant chuckles. "No need to worry."
Llyr settles down a bit, but he's still on his guard, it seems. He looks at all the trinkets around the shop. I warily stare at a glass knife, then move to a shining gem stone.
Today has been a long day.
I sigh, still staring at the gem stone. The stone is green, but emits a faint purple glow. I slowly put my finger out to touch it.
Suddenly, I hear a woosh. Another person? I turn around towards the doorway and spot three hooded creatures that look like the cloaked shopkeeper. Friends of his?
I look at them closely, then notice they have black blades pulled out. I gasp a little.
"Don't. Move." One comes up to me and points the knife at my neck. I raise my neck, shutting my eyes.
Not good.
I open my eyes to a slam. Llyr seems to have twisted the cloaked person, and instead, Llyr held the knife to the attacker's neck.
Tivona was still like me, in the same position. We didn't have the stealth like Llyr did.
The knife got closer to my neck. I straightened up more.
"This is your healer, huh?" I hear the hooded figure say to Llyr. "Pretty high elf."
"Don't touch her," Llyr demands as he pulls his attacker's head up a little, repositioning the knife. "What do you want?"
"No harm," the one holding Tivona at knifepoint says. "I just want to escort you somewhere."
"Oh yeah? Escort? Why should I believe you?" Llyr snarls.
"I wouldn't get too cocky, genasi." The shopkeep smiles evilly. "We know where you're going, what you're doing, and why you're doing it."
Llyr looks a little shocked at this. "What?"
"Yeah, you're on your way to defeat the Demon King? Just defeated Kiyoko?" The shopkeep laughs, "you don't even know what you're doing? What a joke of a team."
Just then, three more appeared from the back doorway.
Llyr curses, then drops the knife. His attacker quickly picked up the knife and positioned it against his neck, as another one locks Llyr's hands in handcuffs.
"I'm sorry...just do as they say." Llyr whispers loud enough for Tivona and I to hear as the two other hooded figures approach us. I reluctantly give my hands to the figure, then catch a glimpse of his face.
    Horns, weird face markings...
I'd have to share this knowledge with my captured teammates later.
"Plan in motion," I hear the shopkeep say as the hooded figures escort us out, "this was easier than I thought."
