Tivona's POV

These masked men were taking us somewhere. They put blindfolds on us so that we could not see where we were going. They already confiscated our weapons and most of our armor. They soon were muttering about various things, but the conversation that irked me the most was:
"Say, the hardest part? It's already done!"
"Why do you say that? We just got the healer, the tank, and the sneaky one. We haven't even dealt with the barbarian or the warlock, those are way more dangerous."
"Because," another figure, with a gruff voice this time, starts, "whats a team without their valued healer, and their backup one? And now they can't exactly sneak in. None of them have thieves tools, and they're not sold around town because of the reputation of it."
"But, how would we know that none of them have thieves tools?" The second one questions.
"We have our ways. Our people." The third, gruff one seems like he has a smirk on his face.
But that conversation aside, we didn't go very far until we got to their 'base', or, our holding cells, to say the least. From the conversations that were spoken, it seemed like we were being held hostage. The amount of twists and turns we did confused me, but perhaps Llyr could find his way back easily. Andraste and I stayed as quiet as Llyr, so as to not raise attention to ourselves and get us into a more dangerous situation. As soon and we stepped down a ramp, I felt a slight sluggishness. As soon as I stepped a little more in there, I heard someone fall onto the ground.
"Ah shit, forgot about this part." One figure sighs, "I guess I'll carry her."
"That's the job," said another, and then we started back on our way.
What was that, just now? I was sluggish, but I didn't full on collapse. Is there a poison? None of the others fell, though...and the hooded figures seemed to not be affected at all, carrying the body like it was nothing.
    What is this place?
    Another conversation arose.
"So...where are we supposed to put them again?"
"Since the one you have collapsed, I'd say there's no harm in putting her with the paladin." The gruff voice said.
    Her.
Was there others traveling with us? Or was that...
Andraste.
It must be some sort of magic barrier. Healing barrier?
"But the rogue comes with us." The gruff voice said again.
Just as we were walking somewhere in this cold corridor, we suddenly stopped. My blindfold was taken off by one of the hooded figures, still not removing their hoods. Then, I quickly looked to the figure carrying someone.
    It was Andraste.
"Do we need to uncuff them?" The one who removed my blindfold questioned.
"I don't think so," said the tall and gruff-voiced one, "they won't be alive too much longer."
Won't be alive?! I started to panic a little, but I knew I couldn't show my emotions. The last thing I wanted to do was give these people what they wanted.
The hooded figures then pushed me into the cell and set Andraste on the ground in the cell. They slammed and locked the cell door, then left. I sat down, trying to clear my head.
Maybe my god can help me in some way?
I started to focus my breathing, closed my eyes, and prayed. I thought about all that had happened in the last hour, then started thinking about the other members of the party, my friends. I also thought about where Llyr was going. I knew he had a past, and I didn't know what kind, but I knew it involved criminal activity.
"Trust in your friend."
I sighed with a smile. Of course I could trust Llyr, he's been here all this time and helped us. I started to think about Andraste passing out and my sluggishness. What could that be?
"A magic barrier. Your healing magic was drained."
Ah, that must have had a huge affect on Andraste. She knows more healing magic than me, and it might embody her more, since she is set on helping people.
She might feel useless after this, I thought to myself.
And with that, the divine presence faded away. I sighed, and opened my eyes. Just as I did, Andraste was coming to. She sat up, slowly and cautiously, looking around.
"Tivona!" She exclaimed. It echoed and she cringed.
"Try not to be so loud," I laughed lightly.
"Where did they take us? Why was I asleep?" Andraste asked with worry.
"I'm not quite sure, since they blindfolded us," I started. "But, there is a magic barrier in this prison that we're in that repels healing magic. I felt it myself while coming in, it just made me a little sluggish, but you fainted."
"I see," Andraste nodded. She looked around at the scenery. It was cold, dark, and filled with dark stone. The walls seemed to emanate darkness, as well. She sighed, then looked back at me with wide eyes, like a deer. "What about Llyr? What happened to him?"
"He was taken away by the guards," I explained. "They said we could be put together only because you were passed out and..." I trailed off. I didn't want to say what they said next.
"And...?" Andraste pushed, looking at me, confused.
I shook my head, "...and that we were not going to be alive much longer..." I mumbled.
Andraste's eyes widened even more, if that was possible, then went back to normal.
"I don't think that's true," Andraste shook her head. "Our friends will come find us."
"I think so too," I said with a slight smile.
"Anyway, enough contemplating what's going to happen," Andraste starts. I give her a confused look. "I saw under the hoods, they had horns. And very strange face markings."
"Tieflings! Of course." I say. The barrier was made by them to suppress healing magic. They were kidnapping us. They worshipped the Demon King. Everything is starting to make sense now.
"I'm afraid I've never heard of or seen tieflings before," Andraste said. "But right now, they're leaving a pretty bad impression on me."
"Tieflings have all sorts of personalities, it just depends on who they grew up around," I recalled. I've learned about this in my studies. "Tieflings have a tendency to be evil due to other tieflings, like these, leaving a bad impression on the whole race. That leaves them to take revenge on all other races."
"Wow, you know a lot!" Andraste replied with a smile.
I blushed a bit, "perhaps, but I'm glad I do. It helps us a bit more to get to the bottom of this." I take a deep breath and relay the thoughts in my head to Andraste. "The reason they are doing this to us is because they are a cult that worships the Demon King. The Demon King probably bargained with them to end the suffering of their race and perhaps get revenge on the other races."
"And they're after us because we are after the Demon King," Andraste connects the dots.
    "Exactly," I nod.
"So, what are we going to do?" Andraste asks.
"There isn't much we can do, I'm afraid." I shake my head, then sigh. "We have to sit here and wait for our friends to come and rescue us."
