"Read 5th paragraph as homework" Our physics sir said as the lunch bell rang, I rolled my eyes, I mean who the heck would do that, Read?, he wouldn't even ask tomorrow
"Will you read it?" Asked Sreya, my bestie, we were lot in common but she still is better than me in studies
"When the heck did I?" I replied a question back, she know me more than anyone could, yet still she asks to test my patience
"But I Will" Sreya answered back
"You always did Sreya" said Renu, my other buddie and partner in crime, but most of the time she irritates me
We three are those kind of back benchers who makes silly jokes and laughs hell outta us, but the centre of attention to the class, but sure if teachers, they practically won't take eyes off us while teaching
"Where are you going?" Renu asked as me and sreya walking towards the door
"You know usually people wash hand before they eat" I replied
"Aren't we using spoons?" Renu asked back
"So?" I asked back again, washing hands is one of my excuse to get out of class, I mean I've been staying in the same class room from past few hours I need some fresh air and stay out of my classmates
Me and sreya are like iron and magnet, we always seen together, due to my father's work we always shifted from one place to another and that resulted in no perfect friendship for me, my only real friend I ever met is Sreya, same applies for her too
"Brinda wait!" Sreya called me as I hurried through the stairs
"You aren't a Bride Sreya, Walk fast we need to be there near basin so that we don't need to stand in queue" I said, standing in line isn't my thing
"Yeah, yeah I know" she said
"Ofcourse you do" I said back, if she has any chance she be would gladly direct a biopic of mine
We washed our hand and rushed back to the class, everyone changed their seats, benches became dining table, which is totally what our principle hates
The four students before our bench sat the opposite way so that they and we are facing and our writing bench became dining table
"Again?" Sreya asked
"I thought our class teacher hates this" she continued regarding the dining topic
"We never cared do we?" I asked and all 7 laughed
Just like our class teacher ordered the whole class ate in silence except us, we would never do such thing, we started whisper yelling, yeah that's how we speak at lunch
I'm always the first to finish my lunch, I talk too much but it never stopped me from completing my food first, Just when I'm about to close the lid of my lunch box our class teacher spoke
"I have an announcement, it's been only a week since school started and student council is yet to build" she stopped and checked whether everyone are listening or not
"And we need volunteers to speak in the prayer morning, we've done choosing everyone but left with one, the one have say a quote daily, Raise your hands if you want to participate" she completed, Nearly half of the class raised their hands and one of those who didn't
"You don't wanna go?" I asked Sreya
"I'm afraid of speaking infront of crowd bree" she said using the name she gave to me
"You should at least try sre" I said back using the name I gave her
"But-"
"Last bench silent!" Our class teacher said
"Brinda, why don't you be the one?" She asked me, damn now there's no way to say no
"Yes Mam" I said while nodding
"Good" she confirmed and left the class room and the noise in the class room is back again
"I want to be the one to say" Sreya said
Laddies and gentlemen This is my bestie, Just back then she rejected and now there you go
"Seriously sre? What on the earth were you doing before?" Renu asked
"Leave it Renu, you know her" I said and sreya pouted
"Guess I have do that, hopefully I wish it goes well" I said, and the day continued briefly just like everyday
