If It Makes You Happy

Chapter 8

After Bucky showed her everything that he got for her to help her out he made her dinner while she fed Caroline. He took her from her and said "Little darlin of mine we need to fix your last name to make you officially mine." 

Ellie looked down and she said "Buck I'm sorry." 

"Baby it's fine.. you were just trying to protect everyone involved including her. But we are going to fix it now. We can see how this goes with me and you together." he said 

She went into the kitchen ate dinner while he put Caroline in her bouncey seat and sat down with Ellie. "Buck do you think this could work me and you." she said

"I think so baby. I've known you for a very long I know all about you and your flaws and insecurities I know what pushes your buttons and what doesn't no different than you know mine we don't have take things slow and get to know each other like a normal couple does cause we already know the ins and outs of each other." he said 

"That is very true." she said with a smile. 

"We can take this at any speed you want baby. But I do have to talk to my lawyer Monday and um tomorrow we take Caroline to see my parents so they can meet their grand daughter." he said 

She looked down and said "Hopefully they aren't mad at me." 

"Baby I'll explain it to them." he said as he squeezed her hand. 

After dinner she went into Caroline's nursery and pumped out two bottles and set a timer on her phone to do it again in a few hours. She got in the hot shower since Caroline was sleeping while she was in the shower Bucky did what he always did when she would get in the shower and he would go see her at UNC he would clean her dorm and get her laundry together before she got out. He gathered up all her laundry and started it up and then did the baby's in the baby detergent she had and he shook his head and said "Damn baby you have done your research." 

He cleaned up the kitchen and living room and when she came down after her hot shower and found him folding clothes and she said "Damn it Bucky what have I told you about doing this me." 

"Um excuse me I have always done this for you and I always will." he said as he kissed her when she sat down and started to help him fold her towels. 

"By the way what did you do with my Ellie Jane. I saw the baby detergent and fabric softener when I put her stuff away I saw that you had a humidifier in her room." he said 

She smiled and said "I did a lot on research on being a mom. I was trying to be prepared so I could be the best mom I could be to her. I wasn't planning on getting involved again with anyone it was just going to be me and her. In the midst of hiding away I had forgotten about the girls double wedding and I originally was going to bail cause my dad couldn't watch her the night of the rehearsal and he offered to help the day of the wedding. I didn't want you to be mad at me I just I know that Norah meant a lot to you and I didn't want to step on her toes or be the other woman I mean I know what happened the night of my birthday was a mistake on my part I should of stopped you better." 

He took the towel out of her hand and he made her look at him and he cupped her cheek. "Baby that night was not a mistake Ellie I would do anything to make sure you feel beautiful and wanted and loved. What Lucas did to you was wrong and he hurt me to hear you cry that day you called Nat in tears cause he ended it. Ellie baby you didn't deserve that and there was a small part of me that day that wanted to get in my truck and drive to UNC to see you and hold you and if it hadn't been for football practice I would have baby." 

She looked at him and he pulled her chin to him and kissed her and she started to kiss back. He started some open mouth kisses as she climbed on top of him. "Birth control baby" he whispered 

"Yeah I got an IUD" she whispered as he pulled her shirt off and laid her down on the couch. He pulled his pants off and shirt and got on top of her and kissed her as he pushed into her and started to make love to her. "Oh my god Ellie baby so much better sober." he whispered as he thrusted in and out of her. 

Her eyes began to roll and she arched her back and she whispered "My god Bucky you are amazing." as he kissed her as he interlaced their hands above her head and he moaned and said "mmmm Ellie Jane baby" as spilled into her. 

"Oh my god I love you Ellie baby" he said as he looked at her. 

She looked up at him as her eyes darted back and forth "Oh my god.. we broke our rule Bucky we we weren't suppose to fall in love with each other." she whispered 

He kissed her and whispered "Baby we were 14 years old we didn't know any better we can't help who we fall in love with." 

"I love you too." she said as she kissed him. 

"Oh my Ellie Jane why in the world did you let me make a big mistake why couldn't you have stopped me that day." he said 

She smiled and said "Buck I would never stand in the way of anything if it makes you happy. You and I never let anything get in the way of our friendship." 

He kissed her and they sat up and started to put their clothes back on. They finished up her laundry she fed Caroline again and then pumped another bottle. After she finished pumping she and Bucky went to bed. When Caroline got up Bucky said "No you stay I will be right back." She picked up Caroline to make her stop crying and he came back in the room and he said "Let me help you."

He took Caroline and started to feed the bottle to her. He felt tears in his eyes and said "Ellie .." 

"What's wrong Buck?' she said 

"I just um I'm glad you didn't bail on the wedding." he said 

"Buck are you ok?' she said

"I am I just Norah can't have babies and she felt like I did this on purpose and I didn't I honestly didn't know that you quit taking your birth control so um I never thought for a second that I would get to do this because Norah didn't want adopt." he said 

Ellie looked at her daughter and said"Buck she's you and I together she's a miracle." 

He looked over at Ellie and kissed her and he said "I do want more by the way" 

She said "oh lord help me" 

"You and I make cute babies" he said as he kissed her. 

He looked down and he said "now what do I do" as he pulled the now empty bottle away.

"You burp her just like this" she said as she took Caroline and show him how to burp her.

"I'm afraid I'm going to hurt her baby." he said 

"You won't baby." she said 

He started to pat her back and a few minutes later she let out a little burp. He let out a breathe and said "She's so small baby'

"Well she was 6lbs when she was born. She's 12lbs now." she said as she got a diaper out of her drawer on the bassinet. 

She looked over at him and saw him rubbing his nose against Caroline's and he whispered "You gave me back your mama sweet darlin." 

They got her changed and back to sleep in her bassinet.
