If It Makes You Happy

Chapter 10

*2 years later*

"Baby where are you?' Bucky yelled up the stairs. 

"I um I'm coming" she came down the stairs with a big smile on her face. 

"What's with the smile?' he said 

"um well my sexy husband we are expecting baby #2!" she said as she held up the two pregnancy tests that she just took.

"Mmm it worked!" he said 

"yes it did." she said with a big smile. 

"Yay little Caroline Jane is going to be a big sister." Bucky said 

"Mama mama" Caroline said as she stood at the top of the stairs. 

"Sit on your butt Caroline" Bucky said 

She sat down and slide her self down the stairs. "dada dada" she said as she did grabby hands. 

"Oh baby you know daddy can't resist that sweet face" he said as he picked her up.

"Cookie cookie" she said 

"No what did daddy say earlier" he said 

She made a pouty face and Ellie smiled and said "Aww breaking out the pouty face on daddy good luck with that Caroline it never worked for me with grandpa." 

Bucky looked at his daughter and she started to sniffle and he said 'Ugh god you are just like your mama" as he took her into the kitchen and got her a cookie.

They found out baby #2 was another a boy and they went to their family's big Easter dinner and they announced their 2nd pregnancy and let them know that they were having a boy named Carter James. She went into labor during a football game at the high school he had to have Steve coach the rest of the game. "I'm so glad that I got to be here this time instead of Natasha" he said 

"Shut up." she said as she looked down at her son as he ate with big blue eyes staring right up at her and with his dark hair.

"Lord help me when you start dating." she whispered. 

Bucky started laughing and said"baby you have nothing to worry about." 

Everyone came in to visit the next day and Caroline held her baby brother. A few days later they got to go home and they fell back into the routine they had when he first found out about Caroline they worked together. Winnie watched both kids for them while they worked and he coached football and she coached the dance team. 

When Carter was 6 months old on Easter Sunday Bucky was getting Carter ready and Caroline was sitting on her bed. Her hair wasn't done and he said "baby you need to hurry up and get ready so you can fix Caroline's hair baby I only know braids and pig tails." 

Ellie walked into the room and said "Sorry um Buck can I talk to you a minute." 

"Um yeah I guess so." he said he put Carter in his crib and came into their bedroom and shut the door. "Baby did I do something wrong." he said 

"I um I'm pregnant again." she said 

"Baby I don't understand you got the shot so you didn't have to worry anymore." he said

"Then a condom broke." she said 

He went to get his watch out of his drawer and said "Or we didn't use one." as he threw the unopened box on the bed." 

"Bucky!" she said

"Baby you know how when we get really tired and we want to have sex but we are so damn tired between work and coaching and two kids where do we end up having sex." he said 

"In the shower." she said. 

"Exactly." he said. 

She went and got Caroline and fixed her hair and she said "Now Caroline you be nice today do you hear me" 

"ok mama" she said. 

They got to the Easter Sunday dinner that included their friends and their kids. They were doing an Egg Hunt. Ellie had Carter standing on the porch with Wanda who had her 3 month old little girl and they heard screaming and Bucky yelling "Caroline Jane Barnes that's enough" 

She sat down in the grass and pouted and said "Daddy you being mean" 

Winnie came up behind Ellie and took Carter. Ellie walked over to Caroline and said "Caroline Jane get out of the grass." 

"No that boy was being mean to me so I pushed him and daddy is mean" she said 

Ellie picked her up and Caroline started to scream and she made her sit in a chair and said "You are in time out for 3 minutes. Don't get up" 

"But he was mean to me first" she said 

That night she was laying on the couch with Bucky and he said "You alright?'

"Yeah it's just been a really long day. Caroline is a handful sometimes" she said

"I know someone else that is a handful." he said 

She rolled to her side and said "Mmm baby no dirty talk just lay here with me I'm tired." They cuddled up and fell asleep watching their movie on the couch. 

Around August they found out that their baby #3 and last baby was another girl. She was born on Christmas Eve and they named her Elliot Katherine Barnes.
