Then (before she married Apollo):

I walked through the forest slowly, looking around. Being a Goddess was amazing, but I'm still having trouble with my powers. Or better to say, having trouble finding out what my powers are. As I walked I carried my mirror, not feeling right without it. After some time I stopped and looked around. I saw a bird on the ground, its wing hurt. I looked closer and saw that it was a white hawk. I walked over to it and picked the little one up. I was determined to heal it, so I would take it to Apollo. Maybe he can help.

"I'll call you Arkan."

NOW

One should not insult a Goddess. Especially if you're a mortal. I mean, if you're a God yourself, you have some sort of defense. A mortal? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

So, when the glass windows near the ceiling crashed and trickled to the ground and hawks filled the room, I was not surprised to see everyone freaking out. Draco, of course was the most scared. His lackeys as well. They started to scream like newborn children. Pathetic. Arkan settled himself on my shoulder. Arkan glared at Draco, seeing him as the one to offend his master.

"Draco Malfoy." I said, my voice deadly calm amongst the chaos. Draco froze. "You will NEVER insult the Gods, or my beliefs. Nor shall you disgrace their names by claiming to be of higher status! I don't give a damn who your father is, this is MY classroom with MY rules, MY books, MY teachings, MY beliefs, and MY authority! IF you wish to continue this horrific attitude and disrespect, I WILL go to Albus Dumbledore and I ASSURE you he WILL agree with me. CLASS DISMISSED!" I roared at the end, the doors being forced opened by my powers, and the hawks rushed the screaming students out of the class. Arkan, stayed by my side, eyeing the children as they fled.

I picked up the book Draco had thrown to the ground and walked back to my desk. I sat down, calm as ever, when I heard footsteps walk down the aisle of seats.

"Yes Hermes?" I asked, not looking behind me.

"Heh, you really did a number in here." He said, his voice light. He knew I was angry, and he knew I was of more age than him. Thus, he held rightful respect, however, Hermes was always one to stay on the bright side. Unless in a dire situation.

"What do you want Hermes?" I asked, my voice tight. Hermes got the message.

"There will be a council meeting tonight. You are invited." I nearly laughed at that. I always was invited. Like Hestia I was welcome to the Council meetings as an adviser. For both my age and my powers. Hestia was even older than me, having more respect. The only problem was, they never really formally invited me. I was always just told of the meetings, normally from Apollo or Hermes.

"Actually, Zeus has requested you come." I turned then, seeing Hermes in a, dare I say it, a Postal Worker outfit. I smiled lightly, holding my laughter in, and sat the book down on my desk.

"May I ask why?" I asked Hermes. He shrugged.

"No one really knows why the sudden meeting. Zeus just ordered everyone on the council to come tonight. I guess it's something important." His PDA went off then, and he gave me a wink.

"Well, gotta go. See ya tonight Veranna, or should I say, Miss Vera?" I chuckled and shooed him off. I always thought Hermes as a little brother. Apollo saw him as a pain. Heh, either way he was funny.

"You know, no one would mind if you came back, or if you showed that mortal a thing or two." He said quietly. I sighed.

"Yes I know. But if I don't teach them about their history, who will? Besides, Draco is only a young child who likes to bully people. Teacher or not." Hermes smiled, then in a flash, he was gone. I walked around my desk and sat down.

I wonder, what's going on?

~~~
"Are you sure?" Lord Zeus asked again. I smiled and nodded my head.
"Yes Lord Zeus, I do not wish place on the council. It not be fair to those of Godly birth." Lord Zeus nodded his head.
"Alright, but you are welcome here at any time Veranna, and if need be you will come if summoned." I nodded my head, understanding.
I have now just denied my one chance at being in the council.
Right now it was of Lord Zeus, Lady Hera, Lady Athena, Lord Apollo, Lady Artemis, Lady Hestia, Lord Ares, and of course Lord Poseidon.
