Welcome to my book! ♡
In this chapter, we are going to talk about faith. Faith can mean MANY things. But first, what is faith? According to to Google, this is what faith means:
faith - trust or confidence in someone or something.
Faith means to put every single ounce of your trust into another object or person. Basically, you're putting your life in that person's hands. Pretty scary right? It can be super scary if you put it in the wrong person's hands, too.
God made every single person according to his image. For those who cannot comprehend that, it means that billions of lifetimes before you were born, He was shaping you to be who you are today. All the miracles and mistakes that have happend, all happen for a reason. Why? Because God set it to be that way. Whether something bad happend, like falling in class, or something good, like getting all A's on a final report card, were all ment to teach you something.
Imagine Jesus as the ultimate mentor. A best friend, a dad, a teacher, therapist, and even a coach. He is someone you can look up to when no one else is there. You trust the people who are close to you right? God is closer to you than anybody else ever will be. He made you and wanted you be be close to him. Whether you feel Him there or not, He will always be there.
So now that we have a better understanding for faith and who Jesus is, why should we have faith in him? This is an excerpt from Matthew 14:22-33:

In this story, at first, none of the disciples had faith in Jesus. Peter asked Jesus if it was really him and walked on the water to Jesus. Peter was afraid, so he sank. Once Jesus caught him, he was no longer afraid. When you are with Jesus, you are never afraid. After Jesus got on the boat, the storm cleared. When Peter trusted in the Lord, the seemingly impossible became possible.
Having faith is important. With the Lord, anything and everything can happen. Jesus will help you at hardest of times when it seems no one is there for you. God will always be behind you, ready to listen. He is the closest person you will ever have to you.
