chapter one : just a friend

"Gabe I'm leaving!" I yelled.

"Okay, love you. See you later, be careful and have fun at the mall!" Gabe yelled back as I walked outside and met Dana in his car.

He came out if his car and gave me a big hug and and I kissed him on the cheek. Don't get wrong idea Dana and I are just really good friends he is in my brother's band with three others Cole, David and Will Jay.

Dana and I have a very flirtatious best friendship though.

Today we planned on going to the mall and just going out for some ice cream. The first store we went into was Forever 21 and I tried a few things while he told me what he thinks. I bought a couple of outfits that he liked because his opinion really matters to me.

After that we headed to Journey's so he could get some clothes and whatever he wanted.

I felt my but vibrate and pulled my phone out of my pocket. It was from Alex.

From Alex:

Having a party at my house, you should come. Gabe is coming too so you can come with him.

To Alex:

I'll be there

Alex:

Okay. See ya there. ;)

I put my phone back in my pocket before Dana and I walked to the ice cream shop together.

I ordered a cookies and cream milkshake and he ordered a chocolate cone.

We sat down and while we ate our ice cream I noticed that he was staring at me.

"What?" I questioned cocking a brow.

"You're just so beautiful." He said, still staring at me as I looked down trying to hide my blush.

"You think I'm beautiful?" I asked biting my lip nervously because, shit, Dana thinks I'm beautiful.

He stood up next to me and cupped my chin with one hand and took my hand in his with the free one, intertwining our fingers.

Dana's eyes met mine as the corner of his mouth twitched upwards to form a faint smile, "yes, you are beautiful."

I felt his breathe as his face got closer to mine. He closed his eyes and I was quick to mimic his actions. Dana's lips brushed against mine for a split moment, before someone cleared their throat.

We both jerked back away from each other, completely startled. I'm one hundred percent sure that my cheeks were now flushed.

The two of us looked up to see a blonde lady standing there with quite an annoyed expression on her face, "are you guys done?"

Dana nodded, already getting up to turn around and leave.

I nodded, stuttering around a shy and embarrassed yes, before getting up myself.

Fuck, I really wanted to kiss him... Wait. What? No. I did not want to kiss him, nope. Not at all. Why would I want to kiss him? He is just a really good friend.

But even as we left, I still couldn't help but wonder how it would've felt to have his lips pressed against mine.
