I typed this first chapter on my phone so excuse the grammar an misspells. I promise to update it.
My eyes flashed open to reveal the pale bright blue that lie with in them, my long black hair flailing over my shoulders, droplets of sweat rolling down my tan skin, my five senses trying to uncover my pitch black surroundings. I couldn't see much, my eyes trying to adjust to the darkness and a brief stinging at the temple of my forehead. I felt fear overcome my movements and actions, my thoughts and common sense. I pulled my knees up to my chest to realize my knees were scabbed in blood and dirt, my breath went ragged and I felt like I couldn't breath. The air of the room was thick with death and fear, I shivered to the feel of a cool air on my skin.
I heard the jingling of keys just ahead in the darkness, a large metal door that was ahead of me slammed open, allowing light to beam in and blind my sight, I covered my eyes. There was a short silence, I recouped from the sudden brightness that now flooded the room and stared forward at the door way. A dark figure stood in the doorway, his shadow engraving into the light that hit the concrete floor of the room. I looked around to catch my bearings, there was cracks on the walls which also like the floor were concrete. The figure tall and muscular but I couldn't get any facial features or such.
"Audrey Summers?" The man asked in a grungy deep voice, with a Spanish accent, how did he know my name? Was he going to kill me? A million questions went through my head.
"U-U-Uh, y-y-es..." I stuttered softly my Spanish accent shaking my words to the slightest and highest pitch, that could only be heard by a mouse.
"What did you say Kid?" His tone showed annoyance and slight irritation, I gulped trying to moisten my lips with my tongue.
"Yes..." I answered raspy, my voice low but audible to his ears.
"Get Up! You're coming with me." I didn't want to go with him but it was better than staying in this dirty place, I got up shakily, my legs were numb and limp, I pushed up against the wall to pick myself up. "Hurry Up!" He snapped, I slowly took a step forward and fell on my face, I could hear his low exasperated chuckle, his boots shuffling against the concrete floor as he approached me. I felt his hands grasp my shoulders forcefully and like a feather he picked me up onto my feet. His hands leaving bruises on my shoulders. "Can you walk?" he asked in an amused manner, I shook my head no and he picked me up over his left shoulder and walked me out of the room. The hallway he walked me into was small and just enough space for him to fit through, he was wearing a black tank top with camo cargo pants that tucked into his combat boots, my attire was draggy and tattered. My hair was a mess, it seemed to be in every direction, I had a large hole in my blue tank top that sagged over my white sports bra. I was a skinny and petite girl, my light pink spandex shorts ripped a bit at the thigh.
I watched as we passed other doors that went down the hallway, I wondered for a moment if anyone was in those cells. The hallway was dark with only some naked bulb lights hanging from the ceiling as you walked, giving it a dim lighting factor. I made a grunt, feeling my stomach clash into his shoulder as he walked up stairs, I winced with pain, my entire body was sore and the needling sting on the temple of my forehead was annoying, I didn't bother to check what is was or how bad it could have been. My mind set was more set on the mystery of this man and where he was taking me, we finally made it to the top of the stairs. He opened a wooden door at the top, allowing the noise of music and laughter to arise into my ears.
He walked me through the door into the rather large room, there was a table beside the door with three men sitting at it in random color tux's, smoking cigarettes, and drinking scotch. They had expensive gold watches on and necklaces, the man took me further into the room, smoke filled my lungs as we passed several tables with men of the same group, they were laughing, girls in fancy dresses and poorly done makeup surrounded them laughing and amused as well. I could hear a variation of low and high voices all in the Spanish language. The man finally stopped me at a specific table throwing me into a chair.
